Crowd
Types of Crowd
 Casual crowd – least interaction, least organized, most
temporary.
 Conventional crowd – little interaction, but highly structured,
rules for behaviour, usually gathered for a common purposes.
 Acting crowd – violent, emotions are more intense, particular
target, violates established norms.
Other Forms of Crowd
 Riot - violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd.
 Mob - large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly
and intent on causing trouble or violence.
 Orgy - is an overindulgence in something or a wild
party, especially one where multiple people engage
in sexual behavior.
 Expressive crowd – Forms around emotionally charged
activities, behaviours would be considered inappropriate in
other times.
