This document discusses the process of remastering masterpieces using collage techniques. It provides examples of two artists, Patrick Bremer and Lee Kyu Hak, who create collage works inspired by or recreating famous paintings. Bremer uses magazine clippings to represent colors, values and textures in portraits, while Hak replicates the brushstrokes of paintings by artists like Van Gogh using rolled magazine strips. The document instructs students to select a masterpiece to research, sketch it, then compose their own collage version by finding and assembling magazine clippings to match the original in terms of color, size and other attributes.
