The A Level Art, Craft and Design course allows students freedom to explore different art areas like painting, printmaking, textiles, photography, sculpture and contextual studies. It consists of units over two years including coursework, mock exams, and an externally set assignment. Students will be introduced to art disciplines through workshops and assignments based on a theme. They will research artists and images and annotate their work. The course requires a portfolio, sketchbook, and art materials. Students complete assignments over the summer and their sketchbook should include creative exploration, experiments, and research.
