Wanted to acquire expertise, acquired WebRTC last fall to leap frog where the market is Quick Overview of Why Collaborate 2015 Objectives we had for first building this thing. 3 primary design principles: 1) java-free web conferencing experience; 2) improve audio/video quality of app share and 3) improve the teaching & learning experience & optimizing Built this to run within context of browser, leveraging webRTC framework technology gave us opportunity to re-think user workflows
