Agroecological Transitions Digital Tools (ATDT) - Brazil • In Brazil, ATDT the target is to engage 1,000 smallholder family farmers across Pará state, in the use of co-designed digital tool. • The region has one of the largest settlements in Latin America, with more than 102,000 hectares and the largest number of families settled. • Alliance and Solidaridad have partnered to enhance the digital processes that Solidaridad has been developing in the region over the past decade, with the aim of improving the livelihoods of family farmers

- Key findings/inputs from the workshops - Farmers are not used to the Agroecologial term/concept, even those who are already adopting/have adopted such practices - Farmers have Access to internet in their homes, have smartphones and use whatsapp daily - Farmers search for techinical content in digital platforms (youtube, tik tok and Kwai), but fase challenges to find trustable/understandable content - Farmers would like/would trust more in the digital content if this content were produced in their región/by their peers - Young ones and women demonstrated interest in producing productive/techinical content for the internet - Extensionists and farmers change a lot of communication through whatsapp that could be spread along the whole comunity
