A Real Time Video Colorization Method with Gabor Feature SpaceIJERA Editor
Video colorization has become one of the most challenging tasks for multimedia Technologists. The present method of video colorization requires high processing costs and will induce temporal artifacts in a video space. A new approach for video colorization in a spatio temporal manner with optimization in rotation with gabor feature space. The work is implemented on graphics hardware Platform which is parallel to achieve real time performance of color optimization. This can be achieved with real time color propagation by clustering video frames and then extending gabor filtering to optical flow computation. Temporal coherence is further refined through user scribbles in video frames. This approach was demonstrated with appropriate video examples and observed most qualified colorized videos.

Color Image Segmentation Based On Principal Component Analysis With Applicati...CSCJournals
In this paper we propose a segmentation method for multi-spectral images in the HSV space, based on the Principal Component Analysis to generate grayscale images. Then the Firefly Algorithm has been applied on the gray-level images in a histogram-based research of cluster centroids. The FA is a metaheuristic optimization algorithm, centered on the flashing behaviour of fireflies. The Firefly Algorithm is performed to determine automatically the number of clusters and to select the gray levels for partitioning pixels into homogeneous regions. Successively, these gray values are employed during the initialization step of a Gaussian Mixture Model for estimation of parameters, evaluated through the Expectation-Maximization technique. The coefficients of the linear super-position of Gaussians can be regarded as the prior probabilities of each component. Applying the Bayes rule, the posterior probabilities have been estimated and their maxima are used to assign each pixel to the clusters, according to their gray values.

Efficient Image Retrieval by Multi-view Alignment Technique with Non Negative...RSIS International
The biggest challenge in today’s world is a searching of
images in a large database. For searching of an image a
technique which can be termed as Hashing is used. Already there
are many hashing techniques are present for retrieval of an
image in a large databank. The hashing technique can be done
on images by considering the high dimensional descriptor of an
image but in the existing hashing techniques single dimensional
descriptor is used from this the performance of the probability of
distribution of an image search will not achieve as expected. And
the drawback is that giving the query input in a texture format
leads to the limitations of image search that is firstly due to the
limited keyword and the second is Annotation approach by
human is ambiguous and incomplete.
To overcome from these drawbacks a new technique has been
proposed named as Multiview Alignment Hashing technique in
which it keeps the high dimensional feature descriptor data as
well probability of distribution of an images in a database. Along
with the Multiview feature descriptor another technique can be
used that is Nonnegetive Matrix Factorization (NMF). NMF is a
popular technique used in data mining in which clustering of a
data will be takes place by considering only the non- negative
matrix value.
Review on Image Enhancement in Spatial Domainidescitation
With the proliferation in electronic imaging devices
like in mobiles, computer vision, medical field and space field;
image enhancement field has become the quite interesting
and important area of research. These imaging devices are
viewed under a diverse range of viewing conditions and a huge
loss in contrast under bright outdoor viewing conditions; thus
viewing condition parameters such as surround effects,
correlated color temperature and ambient lighting have
become of significant importance. Therefore, Principle
objective of Image enhancement is to adjust the quality of an
image for better human visual perception. Appropriate choice
of enhancement techniques is greatly influenced by the
imaging modality, task at hand and viewing conditions.
Basically, image enhancement techniques have been classified
into two broad categories: Spatial domain image enhancement
and Frequency domain image enhancement. This survey report
gives an overview of different methodologies have been used
for enhancement under the spatial domain category. It is noted
that in this field still more research is to be done.
Content-Based Image Retrieval Using Modified Human Colour Perception Histogram cscpconf
This paper proposes Modified Human Colour Perception (MHCPH) based on human visual
perception. The colour and gray weights are distributed to neighbouring bins smoothly with
respect to pixel information. The amount of weight distributed to the neighbouring bins is
estimated using NBS distance, which is for human visual perception of colour. This distribution
makes it possible to extract the background colour information effectively along with the
foreground information. The low-level feature of all the database images are extracted and
stored in feature database. The relevant images are retrieved for a query based on the similarity
ranking between the query and database images. In this work, Manhattan distance is used as
distance metric. The experimental results are promising and show that the proposed approach identifies relevant images based on the level of smooth distribution even for an image with complex background colour.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Co segmentation guided hough transform for robust feature matching
1. CO-SEGMENTATION GUIDED HOUGH TRANSFORM FOR ROBUST FEATURE
MATCHING
ABSTRACT
We present an algorithm that integrates image co-segmentation into feature matching,
and can robustly yield accurateand dense feature correspondences. Inspired by the fact that
correct feature correspondences on the same object typically havecoherent transformations, we
cast the task of feature matching as a density estimation problem in the homo graphy space.
Specifically, we project the homo graphies of correspondence candidates into the parametric
Hough space, in which geometricverification of correspondences can be activated by voting. The
precision of matching is then boosted. On the other hand, weleverage image co-segmentation,
which discovers object boundaries, to determine relevant voters and speed up Hough voting.
Inaddition, correspondence enrichment can be achieved by inferring the concerted homo
graphies that are propagated between thefeatures within the same segments. The recall is hence
increased. In our approach, feature matching and image co-segmentationare tightly coupled.
Through an iterative optimization process, more and more correct correspondences are detected
owing toobject boundaries revealed by co-segmentation. The proposed approach is
comprehensively evaluated. Promising experimentalresults on four datasets manifest its
effectiveness.
