Gimber is one of a kind: a vibrating, fast-growing Belgian and privately owned company producing a unique
organic ginger based drink. From the HQ outside of Brussels (Tubize), Gimber has been shaking up the
beverage business over 3 years now, starting with local Belgian shops, further expanding internationally:
Europe mainly but also Japan, South-Korea and Canada. Gimber has grown to an organization of +90
employees.
Gimber took a sky-rocketing start. It is now taking the next step business-wise and as an organization. In
order to make this true, Gimber needs the right skills and people on board. It is looking, exclusively thru
Taking Turns, for the new Chief Marketing Officer:
THE OFFER
A key and strategic position, part of the management team. You report directly to the CEO/founder
a.k.a. “Gimberman in chief”, Dimitri Oosterlynck.
Gimber as a product and brand is young, with a community of strong believers and it is a 100% Belgian!
Lots of opportunities from a marketing perspective await you.
A coaching role where you manage a competent team (14 people) and look forward building strong
relationships with the other departments within Gimber.
No-nonsense company culture, good vibes and committed people. Creative and easy-going. You can

Possibility to work on independent basis/thru management company.
Flexibility is key. The role will be based in the Brussels HQ, with regular travels into the market.
Teleworking is well established.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the marketing and brand awareness, develop an omni-channel marketing strategy that drives the
Gimber community.
Design and implement the marketing strategies aligned with the company’s, board and founder’s
vision. Prepare and manage the marketing budget.
Supervise the Brand team, Digital team, Content team and Activation team as a leader and coach (14
people). Set, monitor and report on team goals.
Design and deliver a cohesive marketing & brand strategy driving consistency across all channels (i.e.,
offline stores, hospitality, events, digital campaigns, pr…).
Manage conception, development and implementation of marketing plans, product concepts, and
promotional programs with focus on business growth and market share gain.
Strongly interconnect with other teams and departments such as coordinating sales and marketing
efforts to boost brand awareness.
Identify opportunities to reach new market segments.
Highly invest in our digital strategies and build a full funnel approach both for B2B as B2C.
Ability to demonstrate clear ROI and leverage data to update leadership on brand campaign
effectiveness and impact.
Monitor competition in the ginger concentrate market and proactively update on key activity and
opportunities to enhance and develop the brand’s leadership.
Attend and/or participate at fairs, events, and visit local sales teams abroad.

YOUR BACKGROUND & TALENT
Successful track record in managerial marketing roles focused on creating/building international
brands.
The broader the marketing experience, the better: online as offline marketing, content marketing,
social media marketing… Creating, delivering and evaluating integrated marketing strategy and plans.
Previous experience gained within premium brands, e.g., beverages, fine food, fashion, luxury goods
or lifestyle, if possible in a scale-up environment.
Degree in marketing, advertising or communications.
Language skills: English and Dutch fluent, French is a big plus.
Vast experience in leading teams. Coaching people gives you energy.
Strong stakeholder management is your second nature. A proven track record of building bridges and
involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Sales-minded, effective decision taking skills. Numbers assist you in doing so.
Rigorous, organized and structured…creating balance with the omnipresent creativity!

CMO Gimber - Taking Turns

Gimber is one of a kind: a vibrating, fast-growing Belgian and privately owned company producing a unique organic ginger based drink. From the HQ outside of Brussels (Tubize), Gimber has been shaking up the beverage business over 3 years now, starting with local Belgian shops, further expanding internationally: Europe mainly but also Japan, South-Korea and Canada. Gimber has grown to an organization of +90 employees. Gimber took a sky-rocketing start. It is now taking the next step business-wise and as an organization. In order to make this true, Gimber needs the right skills and people on board. It is looking, exclusively thru Taking Turns, for the new Chief Marketing Officer: THE OFFER A key and strategic position, part of the management team. You report directly to the CEO/founder a.k.a. “Gimberman in chief”, Dimitri Oosterlynck. Gimber as a product and brand is young, with a community of strong believers and it is a 100% Belgian! Lots of opportunities from a marketing perspective await you. A coaching role where you manage a competent team (14 people) and look forward building strong relationships with the other departments within Gimber. Flexibility is key. The role will be based in the Brussels HQ, with regular travels into the market. Teleworking is well established.
  • 2. CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER 2 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Drive the marketing and brand awareness, develop an omni-channel marketing strategy that drives the Gimber community. Design and implement the marketing strategies aligned with the company’s, board and founder’s vision. Prepare and manage the marketing budget. Supervise the Brand team, Digital team, Content team and Activation team as a leader and coach (14 people). Set, monitor and report on team goals. Design and deliver a cohesive marketing & brand strategy driving consistency across all channels (i.e., offline stores, hospitality, events, digital campaigns, pr…). Manage conception, development and implementation of marketing plans, product concepts, and promotional programs with focus on business growth and market share gain. Strongly interconnect with other teams and departments such as coordinating sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness. Identify opportunities to reach new market segments. Highly invest in our digital strategies and build a full funnel approach both for B2B as B2C. Ability to demonstrate clear ROI and leverage data to update leadership on brand campaign effectiveness and impact. Monitor competition in the ginger concentrate market and proactively update on key activity and opportunities to enhance and develop the brand’s leadership. Attend and/or participate at fairs, events, and visit local sales teams abroad.
  • 3. CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER 3 YOUR BACKGROUND & TALENT Successful track record in managerial marketing roles focused on creating/building international brands. The broader the marketing experience, the better: online as offline marketing, content marketing, social media marketing… Creating, delivering and evaluating integrated marketing strategy and plans. Previous experience gained within premium brands, e.g., beverages, fine food, fashion, luxury goods or lifestyle, if possible in a scale-up environment. Degree in marketing, advertising or communications. Language skills: English and Dutch fluent, French is a big plus. Vast experience in leading teams. Coaching people gives you energy. Strong stakeholder management is your second nature. A proven track record of building bridges and involving multiple internal and external stakeholders. Sales-minded, effective decision taking skills. Numbers assist you in doing so. Rigorous, organized and structured…creating balance with the omnipresent creativity!
