This document discusses cloud computing and cloud testing. It introduces cloud computing concepts like virtualization, sharing computing resources, reducing costs and improving scalability. It describes the different cloud delivery models of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. The document also discusses the types of cloud (private, public and hybrid), forms of cloud testing, types of cloud testing including functional and non-functional, benefits of cloud testing like availability and low cost, and challenges of cloud testing like security, performance and unavailability of configurations.

From AT&T Bootstrap Week: This session focuses on architecture and design concepts to ensure scalability and maximize reliability for server-based applications running in the cloud environment. The session will discuss techniques to consider for achieving scalability and reliability and tradeoffs to consider such as time vs. cost based on the needs for different types of applications.
What is Infrastructure as a Service?, Comparison of Service Models, Why do we need IaaS?, Essential Characteristics of IaaS, Where IaaS May Not be the Best Option?, Cloud Deployment Models

Virtualization vulnerabilities, security issues, and solutions:
Virtualization is technological revolution that
separates functions from underlying hardware and allows
us to create useful environment from abstract resources.
Virtualization technology has been targeted by attackers
for malicious activity. Attackers could compromise VM
infrastructures, allowing them to access other VMs on the
same system and even the host.
This presentation emphasize on
the assessment of virtualization specific vulnerabilities,
security issues and possible solutions.

En matière de développement web, il existe de plus en plus de services, souvent gratuits, qui permettent d'externaliser les ressources aussi bien sur la phase de développement que sur la phase de production, à tel point qu'on peut maintenant envisager de produire sans aucune infrastructure.
Cloud testing: challenges and opportunities, TaaS, Integration TestingDr Ganesh Iyer
Brief overview of Cloud test challenges, opportunities, methodologies and approaches. Also includes brief introduction to TaaS and Integration test challenges and approaches.
Cloud Computing refers to manipulating, configuring, and accessing the applications online. It offers online data storage, infrastructure and application.
Cloud Computing is both a combination of software and hardware based computing resources delivered as a network service.
Basic Concepts:
There are certain services and models working behind the scene making the cloud computing feasible and accessible to end users. Following are the working models for cloud computing:
1. Deployment Models
2. Service Models

Cloud formation is of three types:
Private: Restricted access managed by the firewall of an
organization Its availability is specific to the organization users. Pool of
resources available only to a specific organization giving greater control
and privacy.
Public: Services are available to everyone and resources are
allocated on demand ( Services to multiple clients using same shared
infrastructure)
Hybrid: Combination of both.
TYPES AND FORMS OF CLOUD

Cloud Testing Forms
● Testing whole cloud (Cloud &SaaS vendors as
well as end users)
● Testing within cloud ( Only cloud vendors)
● Testing across cloud
● SaaS testing in cloud
