Cloud Computing is a general term used to describe a new class of network based computing that takes place over the Internet,
a collection/group of integrated and networked hardware, software and Internet infrastructure.
provides hardware, software and networking services to clients.
These platforms (networked hardware) hide the complexity to provide a very simple service.
Cloud is getting industry's attention, as more applications are moving to Cloud, Understanding Cloud basics are no longer nice-to-have requirement but became necessity.
This Presentation was presented as an Internal training to employee for educational purposes.

Cloud computing is an advancement to keep up information and applications with the utilization of web and focal remote servers. It enables clients to utilize applications without connection and get to their individual reports at any PC with web get to. This headway gifts productive enlisting by joining limit, prepare, memory and trade speed. Scattered figuring outfit clients and endeavors with various aptitudes to store and process their information in untouchable server farms.

AES2013 Harnett plenary talk: Electrodes for microfluidic applicationsCK Harnett
Four ways to make metal 3D electrodes for microfluidics, without electroplating. The slides show examples from induced-charge electroosmosis and particle counting.
Digital origami from geometrically frustrated tilesCK Harnett
From http://harnettlab.org
Our presentation from the 2013 ASME meeting explains how to build up 2-D and 3-D shapes from curved tiles that can pop up or down. Even though the tiles' shapes are limited to only 2 options, the proper tile sequence can create a larger, much more interesting shape. In 2-D we describe how to create arbitrary contours from strings of identical curved segments. (Imagine trying to decorate a squiggle drawn on paper by gluing pieces of macaroni on top.) The problem becomes finding the right binary sequence to follow the line with the fewest errors. In 3D we show a video of a self-consistency algorithm to generate a shape from a 2D tile array.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
2. INTRODUCTION
• The actual term cloud borrows from
telephony in that telecommunication
companies, who until the 1990
primarily offered dedicated point to
point data circuits began offering
VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK(VPN)
services with comparable quality of
service but at a much lower cost.
3.
4. What is Cloud Computing?
• Cloud Computing is a general term used to describe a new
class of network based computing that takes place over the
Internet,
– basically a step on from Utility Computing
– a collection/group of integrated and networked hardware,
software and Internet infrastructure (called a platform).
– Using the Internet for communication and transport
provides hardware, software and networking services to
clients
• These platforms hide the complexity and details of the
underlying infrastructure from users and applications by
providing very simple graphical interface or API (Applications
Programming Interface).
7. Types of cloud
Public cloud
•Public cloud (off-site and remote) describes cloud computing where resources are
dynamically provisioned on an on-demand, self-service basis over the Internet, via web
applications/web services, open API, from a third-party provider who bills on a utility
computing basis.
Private cloud
•A private cloud environment is often the first step for a corporation prior to adopting a
public cloud initiative. Corporations have discovered the benefits of consolidating shared
services on virtualized hardware deployed from a primary datacenter to serve local and
remote users.
Hybrid cloud
•A hybrid cloud environment consists of some portion of computing resources on-site
(on premise) and off-site (public cloud). By integrating public cloud services, users can
leverage cloud solutions for specific functions that are too costly to maintain on-premise
such as virtual server disaster recovery, backups and test/development environments.
8. Services
• Cloud Services can be dived into *3 stacks:
• 1. Infrastructure as a Service: IaaS
• 2. Platform as a Service: PaaS
• 3. Software as a Service: SaaS
9. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
• IaaS is the delivery of technology
infrastructure as an on demand scalable
service
– Usually billed based on usage
– Usually multi tenant virtualized environment
– Can be coupled with Managed Services for
OS and application support
11. Platform as a Service (PaaS)
• PaaS provides all of the facilities required
to support the complete life cycle of
building and delivering web applications
and services entirely from the Internet.
– Typically applications must be developed
with a particular platform in mind
–Multi tenant environments
– Highly scalable multi tier architecture
13. Software as a Service? (SaaS)
• SaaS is a software delivery methodology
that provides licensed multi-tenant access
to software and its functions remotely as a
Web-based service.
– Usually billed based on usage
– Usually multi tenant environment
– Highly scalable architecture
16. BENEFITS OF CLOUD
♣ Reduce spending on technology
♣Globalize your work force on the cheap
♣ Reduce capital cost
♣ Improve accessibility
♣ Improve flexibility
♣ Less personal training is needed
♣Monitor project more effectively
♣ Achieve economic of scale
17. Disadvantages of Cloud
Computing
Requires a constant Internet connection:
•Cloud computing is impossible if you
cannot connect to the Internet.
•Similarly, a low-speed Internet connection,
such as that found with dialup services,
makes cloud computing painful at best and
often impossible.
19. CONCLUSION
• Cloud Computing holds some strong
promises
– Highly Available
– Dynamically allocate resources
– Pay only for resources that you use
• Cloud Computing is not yet well
understood
