This presentation discusses the Climate Refugees Housing Project in Bangladesh, one of the country's mega projects. The project will rehabilitate over 4,409 families displaced by cyclones by building 139 five-story buildings and developing a tourist zone. It is funded with 18 billion taka by the Bangladeshi government and implemented by the Bangladesh Army. The project aims to provide housing, job training, and income generation opportunities to make the refugees economically independent. By creating new industries and employment, the project is expected to accelerate long-term sustainable economic growth in Bangladesh. Construction is ongoing, with 20 buildings already completed and inaugurated by the Prime Minister in 2020.
