This lesson plan is for a 2nd year primary education CLIL class about monsters. The learning outcomes are for students to use vocabulary and grammar structures to describe characters both orally and in writing. Students will identify and use parts of the body, emotions, and physical appearance traits. The lesson will involve reading a book about fictional animals called Flanimals, describing the monsters in the book, and having students create and describe their own monster by drawing and writing. Student work will be displayed and assessed based on vocabulary use. Scaffolding such as word walls are provided to support language learning.
