Introduction • Ask students what they already know about punctuation. • Show them a creative use of punctuation: The Ad. 5’ By giving them the idea of creative use of punctuation, we are building or activating their formal schemata. 2. Tell them about Martin Luther King and about the speech “I had a dream”. 3. Give them the sheet of paper with a part of the speech or to show the text on the board and ask them to punctuate creatively. 4. Talk and nomeate the signs of 15’ This demonstration focuses on the interational content of the message (exchange of social meaning). Learners will resort primarly to their content schemata.
