Clan societies are clubs for people interested in their clan's heritage that aim to preserve the clan's name, traditions, and history. They provide information on genealogy and allow members to connect with others from their clan. This practice is popular in America, with regular gatherings of clan members such as the Armstrong clan from Ohio and Virginia. Clan societies maintain websites to share information.

● A Clan Society is a club for people with an interest in their
clan. It is not the same as the clan, which includes everyone
with that surname.
●In modern society,clan societies have been set up,to
preserve the name and traditions of that clans
heritage,provide information on the history and genealogy of
the clan and to allow people to find others than belong to that
particular clan.
