Citrix Synergy 2014 - Syn114 SAP's implementation of private clouds in vertical industries
SAP implemented private clouds using Citrix CloudPlatform and XenDesktop to provide developer desktops. CloudPlatform allows for easy provisioning of virtual desktop infrastructure and self-service portal access for users. It provides a good combination with XenDesktop that adds value. SAP saw business benefits like more efficient operations and ability to charge back costs while gaining user control over their desktops.
