The University of Sao Paulo developed a private cloud called Cloud USP to modernize its aging IT infrastructure. It won an innovation award in 2013. The university deployed NVIDIA Tesla K20X GPU cards to power scientific computing workloads and NVIDIA Grid K2 cards to enable virtualized graphics. It plans to expand cloud services to the broader university community and support new technologies like IPv6.
