The students at the 3rd High School of Ymittos in Athens, Greece wished their eTwinning partners a Merry Christmas. They described decorating their school with a Christmas tree and sharing photos of it. They also discussed a New Year's tradition of baking a Vasilopita cake with a coin inside - the person who finds the coin in their piece is said to be lucky for the new year.

5. My “New Year Pie” which we call Vasilopita in Greece. We always
prepare it on New Year’s Eve and cut with the coming of the New Year
late at night or early in the morning on New Year’s Day.
We put a coin in the cake before baking it. The one who finds the coin in
his/her piece is supposed to be the lucky person in the family.
