Phytoplankton: Phytoplankton live near the top of the
sea because they need the sunlight. They are also

Coralline Algae: Coralline Algae is also called red
algae. Despite it’s name, red algae, can be pink, red,
yellow, purple, white, green and grey.

Kelp: Did you know that kelp is large seaweed that
grows in an underwater forest in shallow oceans.

                      Seahorses: DIET:
  Brine, Shrimp, Tiny Fish and Plankton. Seahorses don’t
          have teeth, so they eat everything whole.
                        DESCIPTION:
  Seahorses have crown shaped coronets on their head.
 Like fingerprints, every coronet is different. Did you know
that seahorses don’t have scales? Instead they have bony
                 plates covering their skin!!!!

       Like kangaroos, seahorses have pouches!!!!!!
Shark: DIET:
 Smaller fish, Large Seals, Sharks, Dolphins, Porpoises
                     and Dead Whale.
                      DESCRIPTION:
Their skeleton is made of cartilage, not bones. Sharks can
 grow up to 40 feet long. Most of them are black, grey or
  brown. They have scales called placoids. They have a
                     tooth like pattern.
                        FUN FACT:
 Did you know that sharks keep swimming while they are
       sleeping? Sharks need to swim to breathe!!!!
Sea Otter: DIET:
Shellfish, Big Snails, Small fish, Mussels, Red Urchin
                  and Red Octopus.

Sea otters have round heads and small bodies. They
  have small eyes and flappy ears. When they go
 underwater, their nostrils and ears close so that no
                     water gets in.
