2.  Visual Style- Painted in vibrant colours in a cartoon/realistic effect. Images are quite detailed and busy.
Having busy images allows the child to be more interested as there is a lot more to look at rather than
there being few colours.
 Layout- Text on the images. Quite a lot of text. Having text on the images
 Fonts- Serif. Having fancier letters reflect the fact about the book being about a princess.
 Author, Illustrator and Publisher- Hans Christian Andersen, Kay Widdowson and
Ladybird.
 No. and page size- 13 and card sized/under A5- Having the book be small makes it
Easier for children to hold and read the book due to having smaller hands than adults.
 Also having a small amount of pages makes it more child friendly rather than feeling like there is a lot to
read.

3.  Visual Style- Painted with pastel colours with quite scenes with mostly plain colours. With simple colours
allow children to take in the detail rather than having lots of complex colours.
 Layout- Text on images with around a couple of sentences. Having a few sentences makes it easier for a
child to read as there are less words to take in.
 Fonts- Serif. Serif letters in my opinion look more interesting than sans serif.

 No. and page size- 16 and just over A4. Having a larger book gives the images more space to be bigger and
easier to see especially if they contain a lot.

4.  Visual Style- Painted with few colours cartoon however looks kinda realistic. Having cartoon colours with
extra detail helps create a certain look for the book and it is not boring due to the bright colours.
 Layout- Text is in the white space of the images. This helps save space rather than having separate pages
for the text. It also is nicer to have it integrated into the graphics rather than separate.
 Fonts- Serif. Having sans serif for the title of the book especially in orange makes it stand out and be more
appealing to the younger audience due to it being colourful rather than just black.
 Author, Illustrator and Publisher- Rod Campbell, Rod Campbell and Campbell Books
 No. and page size- 13 and square around 20-20 cm. A square book can be easier fro a child to hold as it is
the same size all the way round.
