This document discusses the growing issue of cyber bullying in China through defamation and privacy violations online. It argues that more needs to be done to regulate internet service providers' liability when unlawful materials are spread anonymously online. While Chinese law protects personal reputation and privacy, emerging cases show the challenges of applying these laws to the internet where many attacks are anonymous and widespread. Determining how to balance free speech with privacy online in China remains an ongoing debate.
