- Oral Hypoglycemic Agents – medication taken by mouth that cause a decrease in blood sugar
- not used for insulin dependent patients

3. -dipsia thirst
- polydipsia- excessive feeling of thirst
- felling thirsty all the time

4. -pressin to press down
-Vasopressin – medication given to control diabetes
- promotes reabsorption of water in the kidneys

5. -emia blood condition
Hypocalcemia – condition of having low calcium in the blood
-associated with hyposecretion of parathyroid hormone
Hyponatremia – condition of having low level of sodium in the blood
Hypoglycemia – condition of having low level of sugar in the blood
