1. “ 2016 - what the global economic order needs to DO and
the Indian DANCE to be enacted’
" Predictions and Wishes rarely see eye to eye.. quite unfortunate with
increasing occurrences"!.. so putting forth some wishes…..
World-view:-
'Climate change' may not affect rich n mighty as of yet, but commoners are realising
"climate change" is real and concerted efforts need to start NOW! to ensure the
PLATFORM for embracing n mitigating the effects of climate change starts in full
earnest on all fronts. - no trade-offs, no diplomacy.. just concerted action.
" Economics and its equity" - while "Post-2008" recovery has had its own costs on
even developed n developing bloc of nations, not to forget the impoverished nations;
the green shoots are visible but certainly not resilient even in US of A. Europe faces
social-cultural flux with the middle-east and needed spillovers of "jasmine revolution"
and new metaphors of ideological terror( not religious) occupying the global media
space... China is real possibility to drag world economy into recession - why did
world invest so much in china creating a monumental skew in its economic model.
... the real structural overall of global financial ecosystem has not happened, which
has ensured global productivity quotient has indeed come down even with so called "
smart technologies pervading many sectors".. who will bell the cat on this????
" Consumerism" - The App-fication of say consumer services has to some measure
meant price of products purchased has come down indirectly for digitally- savvy
nations, with e-commerce/ e-biz firms creating flutters in the consumer services
business say in markets like India, china, Asia and Americas challenging multiple
industries and making traditional business structures look vulnerable for the biggies
in this space… did someone say a bit less of big industry monopoly in Consumer
sevices space….
" Innovation:- Incremental VS Disruptive has had its new players that are breaking
conventional business models and creating markets with power of data, minimising
cost of digital infrastructure, supply chain models and aggregation of services and
scale of technology put into use across sectors... wondering where/ how and what
form is the " VUCA" effect felt by verticals/ horizontals in sectors.
" Agri/ food services" - no respite in providing the masses with affordable protein/
food supplements with Agriculture taking direct climate change hit across all major
agrarian nations. time to take a global re look with concerted efforts to look a t new
paradigms for managing ' farm to fork" chain and address cost to consumer. “healthy
and affordable food for all based on eating habits to be goal for 2016"

2. INDIA - Making the elephant run like a cheetah with grace!
Economy and International Relations:-
"So much promised by GOI but the stifling democratic n political traditions with 70
odd years of baggage we have" has ensured that major bills for economic n
structural revival of Indian economy haven't seen light of day.. though foreign policy
is seeing it’s much needed overhaul with PM rightfully leading the front.. an efficient
PMO can do with a 'NRI-PM "as PM- baiters kept saying all the year..
Wish the needed reforms and governance at least at center sees, more purpose,
accountability, equity for all" across rank n file and investments do happen in critical
sectors that will create jobs, drive efficiency of nation in all spheres... Time for
Indians to feel greater pride and confidence in what we all can do collectively than
succumb to the minuscule political n bureaucratic classes." ..
As the transformational change for which the current dispensation got its mandate
for , is far from seeing any visible platform, lets wish we see breakthrough in 2016
against all odds so that DNA of change this nation needs on all fronts gets its voice
and action to see..
Agriculture:- wish this sector gets concerted attention that it demands, beyond
grand standing programmes that are to work in silos, so that the transformation
change that is needed to save n resurrect agriculture and mitigate the socio-
economic chaos that can result with its further deterioration.
Govt.- citizen ownership of policy implementation and programmes:-
This can be relevant for impact, only when people also take ownership like keeping
our public spaces clean, practise accountable philanthropy, address corruption with
full citizen's might as it really hurts GDP in real numbers n degrades moral n ethical
character of nation.
