Chandrayan-2 was India's second lunar mission, successfully launched on July 22nd, 2019 aboard the GSLV MkIII rocket from Sriharikota, India. The mission aimed to provide detailed information about the moon's topography and atmosphere to further scientific understanding. Chandrayan-2 consisted of an orbiter, lander called Vikram, and rover called Pragyan, with a total mission mass of 3.8 tonnes and cost of Rs. 978 crore.
