CWW is an international development charity that matches skilled professionals with partner organizations overseas for volunteer assignments. It has projects in over 25 countries across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Professionals gain experience applying their skills in an international context while helping partners with organizational development, capacity building, and other needs. Volunteers fundraise to cover their own expenses and work as part of CWW for 3-6 months. The assignments benefit partners through needs assessments, advice, staff training, and help creating structures and systems. Professionals develop skills, experience new cultures, and make a sustainable contribution.

New Department of Labor rules require plan vendors to disclose compensation and services to fiduciaries, and require plan administrators to disclose expenses and investment information to employees. Plan sponsors should understand who the fiduciaries are for their plan, calculate all costs, and create an investment policy statement.
Pakistan Flood Pictures 2010
The 2010 floods in Pakistan were the deadliest in the country's history, killing over 1,600 people, mostly women and children, with the death toll expected to rise to 3,000. The floods wiped out thousands of houses, displaced over 5 million people, and destroyed critical infrastructure. Entire families lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods with no access to food, water, or means of supporting themselves. The floods affected the entire country and will require billions of dollars to help the millions displaced and allow reconstruction, a challenge for Pakistan where average incomes are less than $100 per month.

The Entrepreneurial Fellows Center is a program of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. The mission of the Institute, founded in 1993, is to be the innovative leader of economic renewal and growth serving enterprising people and businesses in the region.
The Entrepreneurial Fellows Center, started in 1999, is designed to provide the founders and presidents of high growth companies with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the business challenges faced on a daily basis. The program assists entrepreneurs manage rapid growth, develop strategic plans for sustained success, network with successful entrepreneurial peers, propel their businesses to the next level and match business founders and leaders with established entrepreneurial mentors. The curriculum was developed by Institute founder and executive director Ann Dugan, also assistant dean in the Katz Graduate School of Business.
Participants in the yearlong program are designated as Fellows. They utilize custom designed programs and materials, mentoring, and opportunities for peer learning and sharing. Each class is limited to 30-35 Fellows and more than 350 individuals have graduated from the program since its inception.
A certificate is awarded by the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz School Graduate of Business to all Fellows successfully completing the program.

In May 2011, I thought about experimenting a new concept to get things done in the L&D space: engage different experts to deliver outcomes, with no hierarchical reporting, no minimum required contributions and no monetary reward. On paper it looked like it was doomed to fail.
By end the end of 2012 the results were mind blowing and kept improving in 2013, so in March 2014, I thought to extend this concept of 'circles' to drive employee engagement and develop a relevant employee value proposition for our staff.
In Oct 2014, I've been told this may be called 'holacracy' - one of the latest management trend - an approach where we "grant special protection to employees to experiment with ideas. It is governance of the organization, through the people, for the purpose. It enables the organization to find and express its deepest creative capacity."
