The document discusses cooperative performance in BIM and outlines the information delivery cycle. It describes two beginnings - one for new projects where the need is identified, and one for existing buildings where the owner's requirements are defined. The cycle includes developing strategies and plans, determining roles and responsibilities, and increasing information and details at each stage until the full model is delivered. Information is exchanged between suppliers, team members, and the owner to facilitate cooperation throughout the BIM process.
15 KEY CONCEPTS THAT A BIM USER SHOULD.pdfZara Anderson
One of the main characteristics of the language in BIM (Building Information Modeling) is the increasingly widespread use of acronyms. This means that on numerous occasions when they are used, their explanation is dispensed with, which is why many of the professionals who work with the BIM methodology end up using them without knowing precisely what they mean.
The Construction-Operation Building Information Exchange is an open standard that greatly improves project handover and long-term building operation. COBIE2 is the latest version of the open standard data exchange format that uses Excel as the basis for information sharing. BIG BIM little bim author Finith Jernigan, AIA shares his perspective on the March 2010 COBIE2 presentation with Michael Bordenaro, who provides an overview of COBIE.

Textbook continuous delivery sounds great. We commit code, build it, deploy into a test lab, test and then promote to production. Clean, simple and effective. The reality for most applications is that some of their test environments are named things like "system integration". When tests validate integrated systems, releases to production generally involve all the services that were changed and tested together rather than just a single build. We have release managers who specialize in making sure all the moving parts get delivered together. Meanwhile, some parts of systems are not even built and others like database schemas are updated incrementally. The textbook build pipeline may not be good enough.
Technology can be a minefield of terms and acronyms. The platforms and technology related to BIM - the acronym representing Building Information Modelling - are certainly no exception.
We're always keen to avoid using words that require insider knowledge to understand, so to help along the way, we've collected the most common BIM terms you're likely to come across in general usage and provided a clear explanation of their meaning.
How to Create a Rock Star BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and MPDT* (Responsibility ...Fabio Roberti
A BIM Execution Plan (BEP) is a valuable and necessary part of any project in the AEC sector. It is essential when the team needs to work in a collaborative process to ensure that everyone on the project is aligned with the project objectives. A correctly implemented BEP will ensure the project goals are clear and agreed by the wide project team. Communication is a key component of all construction projects. To be successful, it requires many different people working together to achieve the client requirements. A well-built BEP requires the project team to work together and communicate from the very beginning to the completion of the project. This class will explain the importance of the BEP and demonstrate how to create an efficient BEP for post-contract-award which will include the Model Production & Delivery Table (MPDT). The post-contract-award BEP sets out how the information required in the Employer's Information Requirements will be provided.

ADDRESSING THE BENEFITS OF BIM - SPONSORED BY FORGE TRACK LTD
We kick-started the series with a webinar for the Cross-Whitehall Sustainability Practitioners Forum. These webinars will provide the practitioners with the latest information, knowledge and policy announcements on a range of sustainability issues and was decided to launch this series by addressing BIM. BIM is a new requirement for government which Sustainability Practitioners will need to be aware of and one that will help Departments in the achievement of the mainstreaming commitments outlined below.
The Green Government Commitments require transparency and, in addition to the above requirements, must address the following areas: climate change adaptation; biodiversity and natural environment; procurement of food and catering services; sustainable construction; and staff wellbeing and quality of life. The Government Construction Strategy published May 2011, set out the framework for a range of workstreams, all of which have the ultimate aim of reducing the cost of government construction projects by 15-20 per cent by the end of the current Parliament.
The BIM task group are supporting and helping deliver the objectives of this strategy and the requirement to strengthen the public sector's capability in BIM implementation with the aim that all central government departments will be adopting, as a minimum, collaborative level 2 BIM 2016.
This webinar examined how BIM can support central government departments in their achievement of collaborative level 2 Bim by 2016 and highlight the great work already taking place within this field.

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.
Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

In this picture we see a logical framework for production of information in project stages.
This approach does not require more work, but requires mutual understanding and
confidence within the team. When we commit to this approach, activities of profusion
such as stopping work to look for information and defects resulting from weak
coordination between the models and invisible data are reduced. There are two
beginnings:
The first start is from NEED at the top right of the previous picture, if we start a new
project.
The second start is form Opex start for already existing buildings. We start from the first
point NEED where we define information which employers need (BIM Employers
Information Requirements, EIR), develop the strategy and provide a clear definition of
work requirements and basic decision points (we can rely on CIC BIM protocol) and the
most important sections are:
• Technical, what are software platforms?
• Management, especially for administrative processes.
• Commercial, financial details of the project.

In general, there are two main ways in BIM for working cooperatively in a company and
they are:
1-Direct linking between different disciplines for the same model (available in Revit
program), its concept is similar to external files concept in CAD system xref , one of its
advantages is the small size of its files and it is also possible to manage the permits
through it , noting that the work is not in one file.

2-Worksharing, there is one central model which is shared by everyone and easy to
access and deal with. Its advantage is more collaborative (which BIM adopts) so it
allows updating the project in real time. Its disadvantage is the large size of files due to
the results and it also requires a very conscious management of work set concept.

We can consider that the obstacle of collaboration between different platforms has been
technically overcome through creating the IFC formula for supporting coordinated operation.
This formula is being continuously developed to support different disciplines until it becomes a
standard for documenting programs efficiency in information exchange. Although of a little
support of design programs in dealing with the IFC standard, other methods have been created
to overcome thisimbalance.

On the human side, contractual formulas _such as design and implementation_ were
adopted to enhance cooperation between the owner, engineers and contractors at an
early stage of the project. This information sharing has helped in knowledge exchange
and discovering innovative ideas which have reflected in design processes and outputs.
These changes needed introducing new standards for work at the level of projects,

Employers Information Requirements EIR is an emerging example of this integration that
relates to information about the technical, managerial and operational capabilities of the
organization. For this, the integration of the AEC industry with universities, governments
and other industries is imperative to increase the efficiency of individual capabilities, as
well as to encourage companies to adopt innovative technology. The benefit of using
BIM in projects varies according to the method of use - modeling, collaboration, or
integration – and depending on the target level (whether individuals, projects,
organizations or industry).

20% to 25% of project team time is lost in file search. This loss can be avoided by
organizing data as we will now read when examining the shared data environment. What
we are going to see is a British code that focuses on the second level of BIM. There is a
collaborative environment, but it was created in separate files. It is aimed to simplify and
organize work to achieve Employer's Information Requirements.
