Special elements and uses of the
censorship

Types of censorship: political, state secrets and prevention of attention, religion, educational sources, copy,
picture, and writer approval, creative censorship, self-censorship
Censorship is being used for avoidance of offensive content
However, censorship can be a tool which hides the real information from the humanity
One of the best examples of the censorship is Soviet Union where everything was censored, even though some of
the information would not offend people anyhow. It depended only on the governmental issues
Censorship is a necessary obligation of the authority to protect the moral and social order
An example of banned advertisement
This advertisement was banned due to moral issues. It
was propagandising a death and made people feel
uncomfortable.

Censorship is made to avoid the offensive content for
the users, customers, people,etc.

It is important to take it into consideration in
marketing campaigns.
How to prevent and avoid
censorship?

Most of the content will be always censored but in order to avoid the total censorship is important to remember:
When starting a marketing company, it is important to remember that the censorship can vary in different
countries and cultures according to the religious issues, traditions
For example, what is acceptable in European countries - the advertisements which contain naked parts of
human body, will be possibly abandoned in muslim counties
For starting a marketing campaign, it is highly important to study a key country in order to understand what
kind of restrictions can be meet in a way of promotion a certain product or a service
