This document analyzes and summarizes the front and back of a CD cover created by Yasmin Douglas for her indie band "The Armadillos". On the front, she likes that it has an indie aesthetic but dislikes that the image is stretched and the background is too busy. On the back, she researched indie bands and found they use simple imagery and name songs randomly, which influenced her design choices, though it is lacking writing credits.

2. FRONT
• This is my CD cover, as you can see it’s pretty basic
but from my research I found that most indie band
had basic photography. I used the name ‘The
Armadillos’ as most Indie bands are called wacky
things.
• I like my CD cover due to the fact it’s very indie like
and the photography is fun.
• I also like the text of my band name and the
Photoshop paint brush effect on top.
• I don’t like how the image has gone rather
stretched and how the background is too busy. I
should have made the photography look more
professional.

3. BACK
• Again, I used little on the back of my cover, this
is because most indie bands have rather bland
imagery.
• I researched indie songs and I pretty much
realised that they used anything to name a song
so I chose this technique!
• I like the colour of the background and the
photoshop paint brush effect. I also like the
grain effect as it makes it look old.
• I don’t like how it hasn’t got much writing, such
as photographer, producer etc.
