1. Cause And Effect Essay Sample
Crafting a cause and effect essay can be a challenging endeavor that demands a keen
understanding of the chosen topic and a meticulous approach to analyzing the relationships
between different elements. The complexity arises not only from the need to identify and
comprehend the causes and effects but also in presenting a coherent and logical structure to
convey these connections effectively.
One of the initial hurdles is selecting a topic that is both interesting and has sufficient depth for
exploration. This involves research to gather relevant information, statistics, and examples that
support the chosen subject. Once the material is gathered, the challenge shifts to organizing it in
a logical sequence, ensuring a smooth flow of ideas from cause to effect or vice versa.
Translating thoughts into well-articulated sentences and paragraphs can be another stumbling
block. Expressing complex ideas in a clear and concise manner requires a mastery of language
and a knack for effective communication. Additionally, striking the right balance between
providing enough detail to support arguments and avoiding unnecessary information is crucial.
Moreover, the process involves critical thinking and analysis, as it requires the writer to delve
into the intricacies of relationships between causes and effects. This can be mentally taxing as it
involves not only understanding the surface-level connections but also exploring deeper
implications and hidden relationships.
Editing and proofreading become essential steps to polish the essay and ensure coherence.
Striking a balance between academic rigor and engaging writing style adds another layer of
complexity. Achieving clarity without sacrificing depth is a delicate task that demands
meticulous attention to detail.
In conclusion, writing a cause and effect essay necessitates a combination of research skills,
critical thinking, and effective communication. The difficulty lies in selecting a suitable topic,
conducting thorough research, organizing ideas coherently, and presenting them in a compelling
manner. Despite the challenges, overcoming these hurdles can lead to a well-crafted essay that
effectively explores and communicates the relationships between causes and effects.

2. The Reflection Of The Robots
In 1948 a sci fi movie is released in theaters everywhere, the movie s premise is that
robots has dominated the human race and inserted their dominance on rest of the
world. That story sounds not real and couldn t be a future for today s society.
However, even though evil robots are not real technology taking control of the world
is not so far fetch as the movies presents. In the article The RobotInvasion by Charlie
Gillis the authors presents the growing reality of robots becoming functional tools or
gadgets for people. The article also touches on a controversial topic of robots
removing ordinary workers from their jobs.Which could cause problems for many
individuals whom feed or survive in generally because of those jobs. The author uses
three writing techniques to convey strengthen his opinion to the audience, which
includes an informative tone, credible facts, and multiple bias source inclusion.
The author s tone is very much informative, to which makes every sentence read like
a text from an educational textbook. As example in paragraph (10) that describes
Baxter a factory working robot, as the paragraph goes in simple details on Baxter s
functions and appearance. This brief overview gives the reader great easy digestible
information on the current factor robots without sounding to confusing. The
informative tone continues on paragraph (6) as the section focus on robot researcher

3. Benefits Of The National Honor Society
I believe that the National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes the
achievements of the students that are admitted into the organization such as:
service, leadership, scholarship, character, and extra curricular activities. On top of
the recognizing students, I also see the NHS as an organization that pushes
students to move forward with these characteristics and try to strive for further
greatness or involvement in their community or school. I believe that the NHS
finds ways to help good students become greater students or even greater people. I
feel that one way to contribute would be to become a good representation of what
NHS strives to be, to grow my character and help others more. I would also try to
spread the word of
4. Survey Of Residents And Cnas
Task 2: Surveys to Residents and CNAs
After collecting the surveys I distributed, I found very vital data. I surveyed all
competent residents and all employed CNAs. The surveys asked questions based
on the quality of care provided and the stress levels from this issue. Many of the
residents commented that they would like CNAs to stop in and visit. Some of the
CNAs said they could complete all the tasks if a third CNA was on duty.
I created the survey through SurveyMonkey and handed them out personally to each
resident and CNA. The survey provided very conclusive results and made it easy to
get an understanding of what the people involved in the problem thought.
The survey issued to the residents had 25 individual responses. When residents were
asked if the quality of care was inconsistent, 28% said yes, 48% said sometimes,
and 24% said no, as shown in Figure 1. When asked if they were stress out or upset
with the inconsistent care 4 of the resident said no, 9 of the residents said
sometimes, and 12 of the residents said no. When the residents were asked from
their experience if employees were leaving this organization frequently, 80% said
yes and 20% said no, as shown in Figure 2. A fourth of the residents say they get the
emotional care they need. Blank Blank percent say that CNAs spend the time with
them that they need while blank blank percent say the care they receive is rushed.
About 60% of the residents said that care providers seemed stressed and always on

5. Compare And Contrast Frankenstein And Pride And
Prejudice
Deep, gut wrenching horror and passionate, gripping love: these are what the novels
Frankenstein and Pride and Prejudice, respectively, are chiefly remembered for. The
differences in their plotlines are striking. While Frankenstein tells the story of Victor
Frankenstein s creation of a monster and the havoc that the monster wreaks, Pride and
Prejudicerecounts the charming and colorful love story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr.
Darcy. However, despite the obvious differences in the novels subjects, the authors of
both works share a similar purpose. Both Shelley s Frankenstein and Austen s Pride
and Prejudicedepict the dangerous results of hubris with the purpose of warning
society to keep one s pride in check, lest devastating consequences ensue.... Show

Both authors caution against becoming too prideful, for excessive pride can be
disastrous. This message is extremely poignant when examining the historical context
of Frankenstein and Pride and Prejudice. During the time period Frankenstein was
published, science was making extraordinary strides. The triumphs of the
Enlightenment and the Scientific Revolution instilled a level of confidence in
scientists, and experiments became more and more ambitious. In the wake of this
exponential progress, Frankenstein serves as a reminder that pride should never
remain unchecked. Overconfidence mustn t be allowed to jeopardize one s
judgment, and careful considerations must be made as to the morality and
reasonability of one s actions before taking on a task. Frankenstein became caught
up in his passion and in his pride, and thus he was unable to foresee the
consequences of his actions. Though Frankenstein is by no means a censure of
scientific progress or experimentation, it is a cautionary tale that advocates that one
should always remember one s own infallibility, and not become caught up in the
quest for success and recognition. Analogously, Pride and Prejudice can be
examined through an analysis of the sociopolitical sentiment of Austen s time
period. In Austen s sphere, a desirable marriage was the ultimate goal for a young
lady. However, Elizabeth nearly jeopardizes her chance of securing just this, as her
pride prevents her from merely liking to Darcy. Though her near loss of Darcy may
not immediately appear comparable to Frankenstein s loss of his friends and family,
the particular emphasis placed on marriage as a means of social mobility in Austen s
Regency England would render the potential loss of a favorable marriage a most
devastating outcome. Thus, Elizabeth s ability to finally abandon her pride and
secure this match is particularly poignant. She finally achieves the
6. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Responsive Design
Overview
Gone are the days when a responsive design concept for smartphones, phablet, tablet,
or desktop was called a niche industry. Now, the transformation technology is
responsive design where a web page design is automatically adjusted to your
smartphone and other devices. Responsive design is based on the principles of
Mobile First Progressive Enhancement approach.
This white paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of responsive design,
and a technical writer s approach on responsive content.
Advantages of responsive design
With responsive design, the HTML tag remains the same for a mobile device or a
desktop, only the CSS changes. The web page elements get reshuffled. For example,
a four column desktop web page design may be reshuffled to two columns or one ...

Disadvantages of responsive design
With responsive design, the loading time of content, image, and other elements is on
the higher side because of unnecessary HTML and CSS code downloaded on a
mobile device.
Responsive design being a new concept, its development and implementation takes a
longer time.
One website for all devices may not always work for the users.
A technical writer s approach towards responsive content
Content is vital. As a web page adapts to various devices, so should the content. The
content should adjust as per the page layout. Because of responsive design, technical
writers can now focus on developing quality content.
Technical writing experts adhere to the Mobile First Progressive Enhancement
approach, because designing the content works well on mobile devices and later on
the desktops.
Following are some of the best practice approach towards responsive content:
Content strategy
Content strategy gets the top priority. Technical writers study the audience analysis
and try to understand What, Who, Why, Where, How much, and to what extent a user
would access the information on a mobile device.

that makes pulverization the nautical world. This alleged beast might possibly be a
narwhal, an incredible and fanciful ocean animal with a solitary horn like a unicorn.
This creature is stealthy, calm, and unbelievably lethal. The voyagers find that it is
not a narwhal, but rather a much more unprecedented bit of innovation. It was a

Yes, keen, nervy, and immune! It fears neither the unnerving tempests of the Red

Have you ever been in a life threatening accident? On July 19, 1989, a DC 10
United Flight jet crash landed in Sioux City, Iowa after the number two engine in
the tail exploded (Flight 232, 8). The engine failure led to the loss of all
hydraulics, which led to the loss of the controls. Fortunately, one of the passengers
on the jet was Dennis Fitch, a United training and check pilot (AirDisaster.com, 2).
He helped the pilots try to control the jet by using the throttles (Jet Carrying..., 2).

nobody hesitated to do what the flight attendants had requested. After the crash

10. The Role Of The Vizier In The Middle Kingdom Of Egypt
The Middle Kingdom of Egypt lasted roughly from C.2055 1786.B.C. It is written
that the Vizier was the right hand man and the most trusted advisor for Pharaoh
during the Old, Middle and New kingdoms. The viziers were the second most
powerful official, and were appointed by the Pharaoh to be the head of the
government administrators. The viziers weren t from royal blood. Today they are
called and known as advisors rather than viziers. The position of vizier, or advisors,
was important in helping the Pharaohrun his empire and our modern day President
uses his advisors in the same way today.
During the Middle Kingdom viziers served as mayors of their cities. They were
given charge by the kings to oversee that local governors were doing their
11. Master Cat Essay
There are certain elements that can be found in all trickster tales. One of those
common elements is the appearance of gods, spirits or other supernatural beings
such as fairies or trolls. In the three trickster tales that were assigned, gods spirits
and the supernatural are found. In the African trickster tale about how stories
came to be, How Stories Came to Earth, there is a supernatural element in the form
of a god. In this story, the sky god, Nyame lives high up in the sky, where he keeps
all the stories locked in a box for himself. Nyame is portrayed as a typical god,
someone who is powerful and is to be feared. In the tale, Anansi the spider,
attempted to get the stories from the sky god, but had to pay a price. Now Anansi
climbed up hi web to the sky god, Nyame, to ask for the sky god s stories (40). The
sky god, Nyame, is one example of the supernatural in trickster tales. Another example
of the use of the supernatural is found in the tale, Coyote Steals Fire. Coyote, the
main character, was able to read minds, which was a supernatural talent that gave him
advantage, especially when fighting.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The supernatural element in this tale is displayed in the form of a character. This
character is the ogere that Master Cat tricked and eventually ate. The ogere, a
mythical creature in the first place, also has the ability to shapeshift, which
classifies as another supernatural element. Master Cat goes to the ogre s castle in
order to gain control of the castle for his owner. In order to do this, he tricks the
ogre into showing off the ogre s shapeshifting abilities. It has been said, the cat stated,
that you have the ability to transform yourself into any animal at all. I m told that you
can, for example, turn yourself into a lion or an elephant (49). The shapeshifting ogre
is another great example of the supernatural elements that are found in trickster
12. Modern Coins Minted During The Reign Of Carausius
Emperor Carausius formed an independent British Empire from 287 294 CE after
successfully rebelling against the Romans. During his reign, he successfully deflected
and fought back Roman attempts to retake Britain. In order to better understand what
type of ruler Carausius was and how he ruled, careful analysis of his coins can be
used in lieu of reliable written records. The 1,097 documented ancient coins minted
during the reign of Carausius offers a critical perspective into the most important
messages he was attempting to convey to his subjects. As a rebellious emperor,
Carausius utilized numerous, positive depictions of the Roman gods in order to
increase the legitimacy of his reign amongst his people throughout Britannia. Third
century Britannia had four operational mints under Carausius command. These mints
were: Londoninium, Camulodunum, Rotomagus, and RSR. Of the 1,097 total coins
recorded, 390 coins, or 36%, have either non attributable mint markings or do not
possess any marks. A proper analysis cannot simply ignore one third of the sample
size due to lack of regional affiliation. Therefore, these non attributable coins will be
considered as their own category, a mint without region, since they still possess
relevant information to which Roman gods Carausius minted on his coins and his
intended messages. Of the four mints in Brittannia, Camulodunum produced the most
coins at 32%. However, this mint did not produce any Aurei denomination coinage

13. Mt. Olive Baptist Church
May 1, 2016, the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, located in Greenwood (S.C.) County
will celebrate its 142nd church anniversary. Many years Mt. Olive have been a
church that loved people, gave without limits and took great care of its members.
The last five of those one hundred and forty two years, I have been honored to
serve as pastor of this great church. Although this is a great church, Mt. Olive and
many churches like it are plagued with a disease that has slowly, but surely, causing
the church to drift further away from God and fall deeper into the ways of the world.
This epidemic is known as tradition. Churches that are bound by tradition and not
led by the Holy Spirit will find themselves missing the mark of what God has called
us to do. The bible is filled with instructions for the church, but as Christians and
Disciples of Christ, Matthew 28 is the foundation upon which we should be
operating on in the church as well as in our lives. The Great Commission challenges
us to go, teach and preach to all nations. Traditional churches will allow church
tradition to dictate biblical doctrine. It will allow the church to argue about who s
right instead of what s right. Sadly, church success has been based on structure and
finances rather than saving lost souls.
A lot has changed at Mt. Olive over the past five years, but there is much more that
need to be improved. I chose to use the V.E.L.C.R.O book study during our
Wednesday evening bible study class in hopes

Wall Street employees work hard and for long hours because when the time comes
to receive the bonus, they want a large amount because they don t know whether
they will have the job next year or not. One thing that seemed shocking is that after
all the hard work the employees put and they are fired before the bonus check is
given, they will not receive the bonus. How the bonus is calculated is interesting
because the firm will not give you a bonus just for being there, but you need to
bring money for the firm by increasing the shareholder value, and then the firm will
give you a cut of what you bring in. In addition, Wall Street sees firing employees
as best for business because they got rid of middlemen who were highly inefficient
players and it helped to improve the efficiency of the economy. Ho uses several
questions throughout the essay to keep her main ideas organized. The importance
of compensation has a lot to do with how the business is organized, because at the
end of the year, the bonus is eat what you kill. 267 One thing that Ho forgot to
mention is how the job insecurity could be fixed because it is a major concern for

illustrative examples to explain functionality of the model. In order to test the
functionality of the system, a case study application is used. The proposed case

number such as x. At the same time, the second party (server) will also enter a
secret number , such as y. Both values (x,y) are defined within a specific period

16. The Worst King Of Scotland In William Shakespeare s
Macbeth
Throughout the book, MacBeth, written by, William Shakespeare, there are many
characters that could fit the description of worst king of Scotland. Out of all the
characters in the book, Duncan would fit the description best. Duncan would be the
worst king of Scotland because of his fear of failure, which then contributed to the
civil warin Europe. Duncan s cowardliness and his poor decision making led to his
failure. Some themes that are incorporated into Duncan s character consist of
power, violence, and a poor sense of trust. The true question is, who would want a
king that is afraid to tell the whole truth and refuses to lead his troops? As
previously stated, Duncan has a great amount of cowardliness and is afraid to lead
his troops, these are not qualities of a good king. The true definition of a king is, a
person regarded as the finest... Duncan is certainly not seen as the finest by many.
During the book Duncan states, O valiant cousin! Worthy gentlemen! ; So well thy
words become thee as thy wounds;/They smack of honor both ; worthy thane ; and
Great happiness! (I.ii.26,47,55,67). This line Duncan states is a perfect example of
when he cannot contain himself. He is so worked up that Scotland won the war, even
though he didn t contribute to them winning whatsoever. Duncan got his country into
civil warand left it to other people to save his country. This is a true example of
when Duncan shows that he has qualities of a coward. The theme that best describes
this line from the book is untruthfulness. Duncan doesn t care much about anyone in
his country, but as long as he has power he is happy. In addition to that, Duncan is
afraid to tell the whole truth. Duncan stated, My plenteous joys,/Wanton in fulness,
seek to hide themselves/In drops of sorrow, (I.iv.39). This quote shows that Duncan
is afraid to tell the truth, he can barely announce the new prince and thane. Duncan
is the most powerful man in the Kingdom, but with such a little backbone from your
king is why there is civil war in the first place. Duncan got them into this war and
didn t even help get them out of it. He decided to leave it to MacBethand Ban quo to
do all the dirty work. On the other hand, some people may believe Duncan
17. The Threat Of A Zombie Apocalypse
The topic of the undead coming back to life to feast on the living has been around
since the first zombie movie White Zombies in 1932; however, just in the past few
decades has the threat of a zombie apocalypse enter the realm of international
politics. The threat of a zombie apocalypse is a very serious concern of the
international communities. Many political scientists are not sure how the world
leaders would be able to work together if this issue were ever to arise in the world
today. In the book Theories of International Politics and Zombies , Drezner uses the
threat of a zombieapocalypse to show how the different theories of international
politics would eliminate the threat; however, are the living dead a real international
concern or are they just a brilliant metaphor for something much greater that could
happen to the world.
There are many political theories in the world today. Drezner addresses how realism,
liberalism, constructivism, neo conservatism, and bureaucratic politics would face
the threat of a zombie apocalypse throughout his book. Each theory presented with
the possibility of a world where the dead walk amongst the living and feed on their
flesh, and then Drezner would elaborate on how each political theory would unfold
if the world were to decide to pursue that particular political theory. This elaboration
helps us determine if the world could even survive a zombie apocalypse. Although
many people would ask is the threat of a zombie apocalypse even a

precedence for the debate between original and similarity.
If corporations are to crack down on copyright infringements, be it blatantly
copying direct design or limiting creativity and inhibiting innovation, then they
will need to lobby Congress to change laws. With respect to 3 D printing, however,
the current laws are good enough. While the 3 D files are CAD files, categorized
as pictorial, graphic, and scultptural works that can be protected by copyright, they
are excluded from copyright if the file has an intrinsic utilitarian function other than
portraying either appearance or conveying information (Rideout, 2011). While each
file can be independently reviewed to assess if an original file is copyrighted, it
would be an arduous task that would not be fiscally responsible for a company to
pursue every similar design. Additionally, current patent laws are applicable to
complete and assembled products; creating replacement parts is currently legal and
allowable (Thompson, 2012). If any of this is

Tito The Minotaur
Long ago, there was a boy named Tito. Tito had short brown hair, was average
sized, and was almost 14 years old. He did not have many friends because he
preferred to stay inside, while the other boys played and wrestled outside. Tito lived
in the great fighting city of Sparta in Ancient Greece. The streets were filled with
people buying food and the air smelled wonderful. Out in the field you could see
people training for battle because Sparta prided itself in battle and war. Almost every
boy was willing to die for their city.
Tito lived in a family, and it was the best family in all of Sparta. All his confident
brothers had been great generals in many wars and had won many medals, and so
his family was very proud of what they had done. Also, many people respected his
family.

he saw his family in the crowd holding their breath. Suddenly, he realized he was

20. Police Trust
As cited from article Why Police Can t Be Trusted to Decide If Video Should Be
Public by Conor Friederdorf , The killing of an unarmed man in Gardena California is
a perfect example of why police could not be trusted. Trust is perceived in nearly
every aspect of one s daily lives. With trust, one is able to build more relationships
with others because one is able to share a part of their life. There are different kinds
of trustwhich is trust in family, trust in friends, and how fragile trust really is.
One s trust in family is a big importance because one lived with them from birth
until one matures. Most of one s secrets during one s childhood are known by one s
family and are trusted to keep them. One has grown attached to family because they
are the closest therefore they are the first to know one s deepest secrets most of the

Friendship is a necessary aspect of every human s life. Friends will not let other
friends make bad decisions and will expect others to do the same for them. Trust can
be proven to others by doing the right thing even when one is not asked. If others
know that one can handle the responsibility and can manage to do the right thing,
they will not hesitate in providing support and friendship. However, when the trust
between two people have been broken, the friendship and trust is also broken.
One characteristic that makes trust unique is its fragility. To gain the trust of others,
one must continuously prove one s honesty and reliability. To gain complete trust
of someone can take years, but can be lost in a single moment. An example of how
delicate trust can really be is in marriage. The married couple must constantly be
honest with each other to gain real trust. This bond can be easily broken if one of
the spouses is caught cheating. Trust in another person can make one feel loved and
supported, while broken trust can lead to the feeling of anger and

How we as humans are destroying the Earth
There have been various changes taking place on the earth. Some of the changes have
been positive while others have been negative. Man has been associated with various
activities that have contributed to significant destruction of earth and species or
animals that occur in these areas. However, sometimes natural causes are associated
with the destruction of the environment. There are various ways in which man have

which destruction has taken place is through pollution such as release of harmful
gases and overuse of resources. Others include destruction of habitat such as clearing
of forests and alteration of climate associated with human activities. However, there
are also ways that have been outlined as possible in averting changes that have taken
place on earth. Such changes may include the use of alternative energy such as the
biogas. A focus on how man has been involved in the destruction of the planet at an
alarming rate will help in highlighting ways to overcome such effects.
There are various ways in which human is involved in the destruction of the earth.
The damage has been associated with the increasing human population. This has

It is recommended that all people see their family doctor routinely for check ups
and screening for chronic health problems. With so much information in the news
about obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes it can be scary for a patient to go to
the doctor and potentially face hearing a diagnosis like this. The good news is that if
you start early in life and try to stick to health eating and exercise habits you decrease
your risk of being diagnosed with a chronic health condition. In addition, having the
right screening tests are also important to detecting potential problems early.
Read on to learn more about common screening tests and consider asking your doctor
if you need any of these tests done!
1. Fasting blood sugar: This test is done when you have not had anything to eat to
screen for diabetes. Your doctor is looking for a fasting level that is higher than 126
mg/dl. This value confirms diabetes. If your results are between 100 and 125 mg/dl,
it is termed

Analyze issues of globalization and localization
Abstract:
How hotel companies keep being successful in international hotel industry (IHI).
Nowadays, the stiff hospitality industry situation puts more stress on hotels,
especially on international ones. Furthermore, clients who purchase hotels products
are not only for a place to stay, but more eager to pursuit for an impressive
accommodation experience. Globalization helps hotel corporations represent
themselves to the world and succeed in operation more easily. While localization
makes hotel firms better suit local market, local culture and so on. Globalization and
localization are not two separate issues; instead they have internal and external links
which would affect each other. No ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Labor diversity is one of the most effective advantages that hotels could take good use
of. For instance, the labor in China is rich but costs much lower than many developed
countries. So hotel firms could be more active and creative by contributions of
Chinese employees, furthermore, they could reduce labor cost. Galicic Ivanovic
(2007) say that hotel industry is exposed to great changes in business environment,
but globalization can help hotels react much quickly to march changing market and
meet guests needs. Although hotel companies have to take budget into prior
consideration when implement global strategy, the global development costs are
much lower as companies provide similar hotel name, style and size.
However, globalization can be a double edged sword since there are many
difficulties, such as cultural difference, complex human resource management
(HRM), huge expenditure and trade barriers. There is an increasing number of new
hotels spring up each and every day, so survival of the fittest becomes a definite truth
as competition is unable to avoid. Frink (2009) states that hotel companies have to
consider different cultures under different locations when they go globally. It is
usually hard for hotel firms to integrate other cultures into their own previously
corporate culture, particular to successful ones with a long history as they already
have had a stable operation system. For instance, a Hilton hotel built in China has an

Household Chemistry Baking Soda
Basic details of the product:
Sodium bicarbonate, Sodium hydrogen carbonate or commonly referred to as
Baking Soda, is a chemical compound composed of sodium ions and bicarbonate
atoms. The chemical formula of baking soda is NaHCOв‚ѓ. Baking soda has only
one ingredient: Sodium bicarbonate.
Baking soda has an intramolecular covalent bond between its hydrogen, carbon, and
oxygen atoms and an intermolecular ionic bond between the Na+ and the HCOв‚ѓ in
the form of a crystal lattice. Generally, sodium bicarbonate is an ionic compound that
contains both ionic and covalent bonds as consists of sodium, a metal, a nonmetal,
and carbon.
Key chemical reactions include an acid base reaction between baking soda and an ...

Background History:
In 1791 Nicholas Leblanc, a french chemist created soda ash, or commonly referred
to as sodium bicarbonate. The quest for the discovery commenced in 1775 when
The French Academy of Sciences offered a prize to the person who could create
sodium bicarbonate through the use of salt. Leblanc created soda ash through a 2
step process. The first consisted of mixing sodium chloride and concentrated sulfuric
acid and heating the 2 at the temperature of approximately 850В°C. This process
evolves the hydrogen chloride gas, leaving the substance as solid sodium sulfate. In
the second step, the sodium sulfate is crushed and is mixed with charcoal and
limestone; it is then heated in a furnace again, producing the final product of soda
ash. Soda ash can be created through the Solvay process (revised by Ernest Solvay as
a more efficient method) or from trona ore (refining soda ash from a natural deposit).
Green River, Wyoming currently possess enough sodium bicarbonate to meet the
entire world s needs for thousands of years as there is as the lake holds
approximately 200 billion ton deposit of pure trona ore between layers of sandstone
and shale. The only known technology required for the chemical discovery of sodium
bicarbonate is the furnace; which is used to heat up the mixture of sodium chloride
and concentrated sulfuric acid.

In the century since the Arts and Crafts movement first flourished, the Providence Art
Club and the Fleur de Lys Studio have undergone inevitable change, melding different
and newer ideas about art and craftsmanship. Still, there are many examples of the
movement s objects to observe within both buildings. While Artsand Crafts reformers
generally tried to create lasting works, their love of natural materials sometimes
meant that it was not as easy for the pieces to stand the test of time. As objects
decayed, styles changed, and firecodes were updated, so have the Providence Art
Club and Fleur de Lys Studio. One object that continues to shine throughout all this
time is the inglenook in the Fleur de Lys Studio. The building is currently used...

visual access to the main portion of the rest of the room, instead of being limited to
watching the fire. The facing wall has a large, central set of windows to allow in
natural light, as well as to remind visitors of the beauty of nature outside the building.
The lack of a built in bench opposite to match this one allows for greater
rearrangement of the room depending on the desires of the inhabitants. As Irene
Sargent advocated with Gustav Stickley in The Craftsman writings, simple, easily
maintained, moveable furniture in the home was ideal. This concept would likely
have been useful for the studio as well. The Fleur de Lys Studio was not built to as a

which it was created would have meant that many people visited the studio. The
structure of the inglenook promotes the importance of community without making it
impossible to use the space in other ways as well. Today, the room is organized
according to the needs of only one artist, but the structure and arrangement of the
inglenook remain, ready to resume their function should the need

In a world of beauty being taken to the extreme, anyone who is seen as normal, is
therefore considered an ugly. As a human being, sometimes we feel the need to
change our appearance of who we are to blend into communities where we feel
welcomed and accepted. We get caught in the middle of feeling displaced and
unwanted while other people are changing and adapting to the environment; so
therefore we feel the need to change and be liked as well. Tally is a teenager girl who
has very low self esteem and has always known she was an ugly; she does not hold

We are all created in our unique sizes, shapes and proportions to difffertiates us

individuals to be perfectly proportioned with no flaw is just a cover up for other
looking from the outside to think that is the way they need to live. We all have
flaws and issues whether were gorgeously beautiful or unattractive; therefore, we
should not have to be changed and controlled by our society to be likable and

30. Literary Analysis Of The Storm
In every society there are expectations placed on people to act certain ways and do
certain things. The Storm, by Kate Chopin, sheds light on the negative consequences
of societal expectations, social inequality, and intentionally contradicts common
gender roles. The story is centered around the complex relationship between a Cajun
woman and a Creole man. These two groups equate to the lower class and the middle
/upper class respectively. The mixing of these two groups is frowned upon, and each
group comes with different expectations. Kate Chopinuses these expectations and
proves just how disastrous they can be. The antagonist in this story is the storm itself.
The storm, in this case a threatening cyclone, represents everything that is
problematic with implementing such strict expectations onto people. The concluding
line seen above, is representative of the contradictions between the storm and these
roles and expectations. Considering all that occurs between the characters during the
storm, the notion that everyone ends up happy is contradictory to what people are
told is expected of them. The driving force in all of this happiness is the mixing of
the two groups, which is essentially a storm itself and would be condemned if
anybody were to find out exactly what happened.
The story opens with BobinГґt and his son Bibi, both Cajun, as they realize the storm
is approaching. They decide to stay put and wait it out. Bibi is concerned that his
mother, Calixta, is going to be afraid. BobinГґt reassures his young son and
purchases some shrimp for Calixta because she is very fond of them. This is the first
time Chopin challenges gender roles in this story. In most cultures it is commonplace
for the mother to take care of the children, but it is clear that BobinГґt plays a central
role in his child s life. BobinГґt is accustomed to converse on terms of perfect
equality with his little son (Chopin 305). Rather than being at home with his mother,
Bibi is out shopping with his father, yet another domestic responsibility usually
placed on women. This is an immediate attack on gender roles and societal
expectations within the story. Meanwhile, Calixta is back at their home and seems to
be oblivious of the turning
31. Nella Larsen Passing Analysis
Nella Larsen s Passing challenges the traditional ideology of ethnic, racial, and
gender integrity, transforming the concept of an acceptable definition of identity,
which both individuals and society can appreciate. By developing exceptionally
round characters whom are unstable and volatile, Larsen builds monologues to
display how easy it is to lose one s identity. Clare Kendry, challenges the
stereotypes, society has ascribed to her. Leaving her in a limbo for identity white or
black, however, she never has the chance to align to a particular identity because of
her mysterious death, while Irene Redfield, becomes obsessed and envious of Clare,

Shifting the focus from ideas of racial constructs to fluidity of the human condition.
By, doing this Larsen illustrates the husband as the example of societal norms by
repressing such feeling and uses Clare and Irene as the more progressive example of

Some skeptics such as Audre Lorde: may, argue that the focus of Larsen s novella
focused primarily on the juxtaposition of race and sexual identity of Black feminism
in the early twentieth century. However, Larsen makes use of unstable identities that
can been seen through the passage via Brian Redfield and John Bellew. The
husbands envelope the extent of male privilege and contrarily shows their means of
working against it. By exploring these men, it offers a more critical view to
understanding Clare and Irene

Rotational exercises have also been shown to effectively train balance abilities
(Brant, 2001, Nyabenda 2003). While free weights may improve coordination,
safety needs to be considered before incorporating them into your program. Safety
should also be considered before recommending water based activities because
directional disorientation could lead to drowning, if an attack occurred underwater.
Overall the personal trainer must consider the unique aspect of the Meniere s
sufferer s diagnosis, severity of symptoms, fitness level, and individual exercise
preferences before designing a training plan. It is imperative that safety precautions

The seventeenth and early eighteenth century, brought thousands of immigrants to

region included the colonies of New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts Bay,

region was Puritanism, which was most prominent in the Massachusetts Bay,
Plymouth, and Connecticut colonies. The colony of Rhode Island was formed when
Roger Williams was expelled for radical ideas. He found the Church of England to be
corrupt and stressed the importance of religious tolerance while creating one of the
first Baptist churches. Later Anne Hutchinson, another colonist expelled for radical
and dangerous ideas, founded Portsmouth which stressed the importance of faith, not
deeds. Eventually Williams joined the colonies to form Rhode Island. New England
became a fortress of congregationalism which developed community religion and
further strengthened the Puritan church. The church, though wholly religious, still
faced issues preserving orthodoxy without compromising the rights of the
congregation, but they were hesitant to undermine the authority of the laity in favor
of the ministry. The Puritans mistrust of any English authority governing them,
eventually led to their refusal to adhere to

War is constant in human history. War is a continually reoccurring conflict over time.
It spans different locations over varying different circumstances, whereas the effects

violence, and decreasing mental health are all by products of war. Findley
accurately depicts these cases through the use of his many characters. Robert s
exposure to violence leaves him in a fragile state. His behaviour can be seen as
increasingly violent and shows his decreasing mental health. This declining mental
health may be due to his lack of sleep. Sleep was dangerous. No matter what your

40. Pros And Cons Of Antitrust Legislation
Pros and Cons of Antitrust Legislation Congress passed an antitrust law in 1890 to
help keep companies from using monopolizing business practices called the
Sherman Act ( FTC, n.d., para. 1). Two more antitrust laws were passed in 1914.
The two laws were the Federal Trade Commission Act and the Clayton Act ( FTC,
n.d., para. 1). These laws were put in place to protect consumers and businesses
alike. Each law that has been put in place to ensure fair trade; and each one has its
own pros and cons. I will be giving examples of the marginal costs and marginal
benefits of Antitrust Legislation and how regulatory capture ties into the laws as
well. Antitrust legislation is an important factor to the economy. The Sherman Act
was the first part of legislation put into place by the United States to limit
monopolies ( SHRM, 2008). The focus of the law is to consider any type of
conspiracy or attempt to monopolize any part of the trade or commerce will be held
accountable by law ( SHRM, 2008). The law is an important part of the foundation of
Antitrust Legislation. The Sherman Act was the only law in place for many years
until the Clayton Act was introduced. The Clayton Act was the next law put in place
in conjunction with the antitrust legislation. The law was put into place in 1914 to
help strengthen laws already put in place by the Sherman Act ( Antitrustlaws.org,

For over 2 centuries, Afghanistan has known virtually no time without war.
Beginning around 326 B.C. with the conquests of Alexander the Great, to the
Persians, British, Russians and most recently, America and our NATO allies,
Afghanistan has been cultivated into the country that it is today through a trial by
fire. Regardless of this relentless onslaught of foreign military power, the Afghan
people have tirelessly defended their homeland with no outside power ever being

Pashtun. This code includes many important facets including Nang (honor), Badal
(revenge), Melmastia (hospitality), Nanawatay (to seek forgiveness), and Hamsaya
(one who shares the same shadow) (30). The Taliban also hopes to further their
longtime goal of toppling Kabul by emphasizing the Pashtuns subjugation by a
predominantly non Pashtun government (??) Thirdly, they hope to build up
confidence in their organization while simultaneously attacking the legitimacy of the
IROA, coalition forces, and the Government of Pakistan. (57) Lastly, once the
