design and implementation of filter and oscillator, together with applied
characterization of different components. The objective of Mini Project was for
students to demonstrate their innovative design skills and implement knowledge

2.2 Microphone Unit
The microphone was implemented to allow the user to transmit speaker s voice as
analog voice signal from the audio socket. The analog voice signal captured by the
microphone is then needed to pass through an amplifier circuit. The amplitude of this
voice signal can be amplified from millivolts to volts so that the signal becomes easier
to for us work with in following implementations. As figure 2 shown, this amplifier
circuit is built by firstly connecting the microphone input through the positive input
terminal of the LM358 chip. Secondly, a feedback loop is built through the output and
negative terminal. Then the analog voice signal captured by the microphone is,
therefore, amplified.

The resistance values of R4 and R3 is purposely chosen for an amplifier gain of 5.7.
As shown in Figure 3, a significant amplifying effect of the microphone voice signal

Brian is a character which the audience can relate to as he has many sides to him
and that he is a lonely man, divorced from the mother of his daughter. He is often
confined in his dark apartment where he sits glancing at photos of his beloved

The audience begins to feel sorry for his character because they can emphasize
with his feelings; For example when he goes to his daughter s birthday even

Stock Trading Game
For the How the Market Works stock trading game, I tried to play strategically in a
sense where I would look at which stocks were down and up. Additionally, I
bought the main 4 stocks of the technology sector, for they have been going up for
a while now. I would only buy stocks when they were down because they cost less
money, and would try to sell them when they were up. Day trading was a big
aspect of my game plan, but it was impossible to day trade at all hours of the day,
so I bought the safe tech stocks to insure that my portfolio would always be going
up. Some of my top picks were Netflix and Alibaba, which made the most money.
Sadly, Alibaba went up 16%, roughly 2.5k, the day following the close of the game.

In a very literal sense our bodies are not meant to live that long. After about 110
years everyone s body would begin to deteriorate and that is just not a good way to
