Introduction
The purpose of the report is to gather beneficial information that is important to the
user of a workout app, such as features, usability, and functionalities.
Method
Five people provided interviews to gather the user observations. All five of these
people enjoy exercising on a daily basis. The group is comprised of three men and
two women. All were interviewed in person with pen and paper for data gathering.
The data that was gathered was then interpreted into needs and from that a survey was
developed.
Results
The questions in Appendix A could get the most out of users because they cover all
aspects of design and they are simple. The most common feature in the app was
music control. It would be more convenient for the users to access and control their
music directly in the app without having to access their devices native music app.
One particular item of interest is the fact that no one mentioned anything about social
media connectivity. Some of the features discussed were GPS tracking, music control,
workout comparison and goal metrics.

gluten starts to develop. This gives the dough its elasticity and its stretchy
consistency. When the gluten proteins are coated with water high molecular weight
glycoprotein weakened due to the cutting action of kneading and mixing and they are
rearranged into layers to form gluten.
The two main proteins involved in the gluten making process are gliadin and
glutenin. When starches are heated in water, they suck up the water and swell. They
eventually bust and the water that was incased inside the granule comes out and
forms a thick gel, this is called gelatinsiatation. This is not very common in bread as
not much water is used, so most granules don t bust but are incased with water. All
of these starch granules are all linked and the gluten s job is to break down and
release water, which is absorbed by the starch granules. This in turn makes the gluten
set and become stiff, which is why bread doesn t fold when taken out of the oven.
Water s main purpose is to hydrate the other ingredients. Water feeds the starch
proteins as stated above which starts the forming of dough. Water is also dispersed

The first factor my group took into consideration when taking our photographs of
Messier 13 was that it is a deep sky object, which means that it is far away and dim.
This meant that our photos needed to be taken with high ISO and high exposure.
Specifically, this meant we needed to follow the first golden rule which is that our
first photo should be taken with a thirty second exposure and the highest ISO the
camera had. Before we actually took the photograph, we had to ensure that the
camera was centered, focused and zoomed on the star provided to us by Dr. Mario

We agreed upon this number because it is around twenty five, which is a perfect
square number that the program we used to process them needs a perfect square
amount of images to process. We figured that if a few photographs did not turn out
well, we could use the two extra that we took. When we were finished with our
astronomical photos, we moved on to taking our flat images . These flat images
are taken of a white computer screen with the camera moved from manual mode to
AV, which decided exposure time for us, and with the ISO, focus, and amount of
photos taken remaining constant. Flat images are meant to correct for any foreign
objects trapped within the camera, fo dust, that may show up in our final images.

Let me start by saying that I ve improved somewhat throughout this course in regards
to my writing capabilities. Though these skills are not perfect by any standards, it s
with some pride that I can say that they ve developed somewhat. Specifically
speaking, the categorizing of information from various articles with attribution to
them when they re used has gone up significantly. There were many times along the
way that I would use the author s ideas without properly accrediting them. Finding the
information and resources to best suit my arguments was not an issue; however,
incorporating citations to give credit to them was an issue. This letter will be mainly
focused on the first paper, the summary, as it was my weakest attempt at writinga
college level paper.
Since the summary paper was the first paper I ve written for my college career, I
can firmly assert that it was the paper I was most confused on as to what was
necessary to make it into a success. I felt as though I had managed to get many of
the author s views out into the open at the cost of some misinterpretation and unused
in text citation. McClelland s ideas often mixed with my own, which served as a
slippery slope to losing the context of who said what as you pointed out within the

secretions of other hormones by the pituitary gland, which is linked to the

Melatonin production increases as it becomes dark and is supressed to a degree by

been found that the hormone is also released when one is stressed which can occur
while in flight. The body reacts to the untimely release of melatonin and disrupts the
circadian rhythm, which raises the body temperature and lowers it at the wrong time
of day.
It naturally will take time for the bodies internal clock to readjust to a normal rhythm,
and, if travelling to a different time zone, the body has to adjust to a different day

The main aim of this study and experiment is to see if all long haul flights,
irrespective of direction, result in a degree of jet lag as reflected by one of the affected
circadian rhythms, namely body temperature.
The study aims to determine whether the hypothesis is correct. An additional aim is
to see if average body temperature is lowered during the flight and fluctuates less
than in a normal 24 hour cycle. Should there be enough suitable participants, another
aim is to see whether people over the age of 30 take longer to return to their normal

The historical Jesus has always been a fascinating character, one who has sparked
controversy since the beginning of his time. For one, we have very little historical
proof of the life of Jesus, just writing from a Jewish Historian named Josephus,
whose writing has been confirmed by archaeological studies. (Fisher, 302). We also
have writings about Jesuslife, in particular all that can be found in the bible. One
thing that is a constant mystery, that even the bible can t fully answer, is the
childhood of the historical Jesus. That is where the Infancy Gospelof Thomas comes
into play, as it outlines his life as a child. The Infancy Gospel according to Thomas
is believed to have been written sometime in the second century AD, with many
believing it was written after The Gospel according to Luke. But, other scholars
disagree with such findings. Some scholars feel that its core may have been
written even earlier than the canonical gospels. (Fisher, 305). Regardless, it is
important to note that this gospel didn t make the canon and that many doubt these

Mahatma Gandhi died nearly seventy years ago, and Jesus Christ died over two
thousand years ago; yet their powerful message still continues to inspire lives. One
example of someone who was deeply touched by the teaching of Gandhi and Christ
is John Lewis. In March: Book one, written by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin, we
can clearly see how Lewis incorporated Christianity and Gandhi s ideas of peaceful
protest into the civil rights movement. The book tells an eventful story of John
Lewis life. As Lewis grew up, his faith strengthened and he began involving
himself in the civil rights movement. He played a major role in desegregating

Racism is a Problem in Canada
A few years ago in Smalltown, CA a burning cross was placed in the lawn of a
visible minority family. Although the media seemed shocked at this explicit racial
attack and portrayed the attackers as a group of abnormal, twisted deviants, I was not
surprised. As an Asian student who is writing her Sociology honours thesis on visible
minorities in Canada, I know on a personal and academic level that racism in Canada
does exist. Although explicit racial incidents are not a common occurrence, they do

This discomfort about discussing racism is common, in my experience. I suspect that
many people are afraid of talking about racism because they are afraid they will say
something politically incorrect.
Employment discrimination is probably the most quantifiable form of racism.
Numerous Canadian studies show that although visible minorities as a whole have
the highest level of educational attainment and relatively high occupational status
compared to White Canadians, they have lower incomes, even controlling for all
other factors.
Of course discrimination based on race is not the only form of discrimination.
Sexism, ageism, homophobia, etc. also exist. What ties different forms of
discrimination together is that they all involve ignorance, fear, and/or hate toward
groups of individuals who we see as different, unknown, and/or inferior. In a study of
twenty three Anglophone and non Anglophone immigrant women in Fredericton,
Miedema and Nason Clark found that many women felt that the hardest thing about
being an immigrant woman was not being accepted into Canadian society. One
visible minority woman commented that people always view her as a foreigner, as if
Canada is not really her home (Miedema and Nason Clark, 1989: 70). 68% of the
women, both visible minority and non visible minority women, reported direct

Macy s is a company that is embedded in our national pass times and has become
more than just a retailing store. Its long history of retailing is over 150 years old.
It was founded in 1843 by Rowland Hussey Macy in Harverhill, Massachusetts and
was not originally a retailing store. Originally, Rowland targeted the mill industry
and it employees and opened four dry good stores. Unfortunately early success did
not come for Macy as the company s first stores actually all failed. Luckily, Mr.
Macy was a resilient man who learned from his early mistakes and realized that his
target market for this type of store was not mill employees but a higher end
clientele. He opened his new store R.H. MACY on Sixth Ave between 13th and
14th Street with the trademark star flying high. Mr. Macy had used his tattoo that
he had on his arm when he worked in Nantucket on a whaling ship, the Emily
Morgan. This was a success for Mr. Macy and as his company grew so did his
tactics and innovation on bringing in new customers. He was the first to implement
