This document discusses a study exploring the habitat preferences of three bird species - Javan mynahs, rock pigeons, and Oriental pied hornbills - across different urban environments in Singapore. The study analyzed observation data from iNaturalist to determine the distribution of each species across four urban habitat types: parks and green spaces, low-density residential, high-density residential, and high-rise commercial. The findings showed that Javan mynahs and rock pigeons are well-adapted to various urban environments, while Oriental pied hornbills are more specialized and only found in forested spaces. However, the study had limitations such as using subjective observations rather than differentiating habitat types strictly.
