CREATION – IT nurtures and enhances creative process: records work intentions, comments from creative guide, director’s kick-off info, the storyboard, character and costume descriptions, etc. Also allows employees to share creative/artistic discoveries. DESIGN – IT connects creative experts and engineers, capturing, managing, and securing detailed design activities while allowing for easy access to them. PREP – IT allows for close monitoring of artists’ optimal muscular development and tailoring of equipment to artists’ physical measurements. DIFFUSION – IT enhances ticket sales and actual performances. Website is gateway to Cirque, and extends the experience through content and access. Better marketing and allows for customer engagement. LOGISTICS – IT enhances tour planning and developing show’s infrastructure. Helps manage arrival procedures for incoming artists and supports the efficiency of the travelling “village” – the touring show and all the people and equipment that supports it – and manages technical documentation. Standardized and fully integrated all touring servers and computer workstations into “IT roadcases” and switched to VoIP technology, leading to a 25% reduction in touring infrastructure set-up. PERF. RES. MGMT – IT facilitates artist discovery and recruitment. Applications support and integrate HR, casting, recruiting, production integration, performance supervision, and health monitoring. Improves talent scout productivity, preventing laborious artist search travel. Database captures registered artist and online applicant profiles, with automated tagging and emailing tasks. Keeps track of and analyzes artists’ injuries, helps manage injury risks, and finds appropriate replacements. Also storage of HR policies. Capturing all aspects of the creative, functional, and administrative processes and facilitating communication of the data allows for more efficient and effective operations. This creates a better overall product = SUCCESS
