FROM THE TEA
PLANT TO TEA POT
1º Tea grows best in places with warm, humid weather.
2º Tea can grow into all trees, but is generally kept as a small bush so
that the leaves can be harvested more easily.
3º Tea bushes are grown in rows with about 1.5 metres between them. It
takes at least three years before a newly planted tea bush is ready
to be harvested.
4º Tea leaves are picked from the very top of the plant, every weeks or so.
5º The leaves are taken to a nearby factory, where they are left to dry.
6º Once dry, the leaves are rolled so as to release the moisture within.
