The Marine Corps has developed an operational Reserve Component that relies on transitioning Active Component Marines. However, the Marine Corps' efforts to encourage Active Marines to join the Reserves upon leaving active duty are ad hoc and individualized. To strengthen the operational Reserve, the Marine Corps must take a more systematic, institution-level approach to attract transitioning Marines. This could include educating Marines about Reserve opportunities, assisting with the transition to civilian life, and mentoring Marines who join the Reserves. An improved transition process would benefit both the individual Marines and the Marine Corps by maintaining experienced talent in the Reserves.

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

- 5. INDIAN NATIONAL SHIPOWNERS PRESENTATION SUGGESTIONS It requires funding to take care of the social security of the seafarers. Funds are available in the NMB Rehabilitation Fund, NUSI ITF Fund & MNOWFT & MUI-ITF Fund. Requirement of raising auditors’ awareness can lead to the cut down on many avoidable observations. Seaferers must be educated about their rights and responsibilities and understand there is a commercial implication on the shipowners whenever they exercise their rights and demands under MLC.
