Developing learning capacity for teachersJune Wall
As new learning skills emerge it is necessary for teachers to develop sufficient capacity to develop learning programs that will provide the opportunity for students to develop these critical learning skills. ‘Learning and Literacy for the future: Building capacity Part 2’ by June Wall and Karen Bonanno, published in Scan, Volume 33, Issue 4 in 2014 considers a capacity building approach, through formal and information professional learning experiences, to ensure teachers develop competencies and capacity to help improve learning outcomes and prepare students for the rapidly changing world of work.
A capacity building tool is outlined and explained as a development tool for teachers to develop capabilities for future learning. Reflection and strategic visioning, that includes the development of a personal professional learning plan, is an integral component of the tool and will also be explained in this presentation.

Professional Development (PD) is quite simply a means of supporting people in the workplace to understand more about the environment in which they work, the job they do and how to do it better. It is an ongoing process throughout our working lives.
PD opportunities provide a means whereby we can keep in sync the changes, broaden our skills and be more effective in our work.
This project illustrates the internship work I completed addressing each of the six Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) skills. The six CAEP skills addressed are:
1. Applications of data literacy.
2. Use of research and understanding of qualitative, quantitative and/or mixed methods research methodologies.
3. Employment of data analysis and evidence to develop supportive school environments.
4. Leading and/or participating in collaborative activities with others such as peers, colleagues, teachers, administrators, community organizations, and parents.
5. Supporting appropriate applications of technology for your field of specialization

As someone who aspires to be a school leader in the future, completing this master’s program through American College of Education has been very impactful. I have grown in my ability to collaboratively lead and manage school personnel, facilitate a culture that supports and celebrates diverse people and perspectives, design and implement a viable curriculum and overall learning experience for students, develop partnerships with parents and community members, and use research to support all decisions regarding resources and other learning-centered topics. I began this program as only a novice teacher, but I am finishing this program as a teacher leader who is adequately prepared to accept and fulfil the role of principal. In this retrospective paper, I will highlight some of the most impactful experiences that helped improve my competency related to the eight program outcomes as identified for educational leaders.

Teacher Leadership Vision Statement
Dear (Tina),
In order to further develop a community, much more a learning environment for children, one must be able to go beyond the ordinary. Teachers are made not only to teach but to lead as well. To make these teachers effective leaders, we ask the support of our colleagues, the school administration, our students and their parents, and most importantly, our stakeholders. On our end, we will do our best to maximize all our resources and services and capitalize on our strengths and assets in order to fulfill our roles as teachers, as well as to deliver to the school administration as well as to our dear stakeholders. You, as a stakeholder, have been identified as a credible partner of our organization in enriching children’s lives and furthering young skills and talents. As a stakeholder, we value your input in improving our services since the success of this process depends on your involvement at that of our other stakeholders’. As a partner working towards the betterment of our institution, together we must achieve the following:
· An enriching environment for learners to nurture their skills and further their development.
· A community of teachers and learners working towards one goal and reaching it through productive and plausible means.
· To lead with pride and purpose in order to encompass all forms of student development and improve student learning.
· A community where equality is valued; where one’s opportunities are not determined by his/her social status in life nor his/her physical condition.
· A community where one’s skills and talented can be nurtured and maximized to its full potential. I aim to discredit the notion that a student’s success is driven by his/her background, I want to be able to change that and support everyone regardless of his/her social background and status in life. One’s success should depend on the student’s willingness to learn and hone his/her skills, on the student’s determination to get the job done as excellently as possible, and on the student’s overall performance.
· A learning community where excellent ideas and strategies are exchanged between students and teachers, where problems are being solved collaboratively through consultations with expert colleagues.
· To inculcate values of optimism, collaboration, and innovation in our daily activities and work ethic to better inspire colleagues and students to work just the same.
· An education system where collaboration and freedom of professional inquiry are promoted; this will not all be of help to the students but to my colleagues as well.
· Lastly, I envision a life-giving learning community rooted in our core values of passion, equality, and determination guided by the mission to bring out each child’s potential.
All of these will be made possible if accompanied by unyielding support and active participation from the school administration, fellow teachers, students, as well as their parents. It is m ...

At The Children’s Learning Station, we are committed to creating a high-quality learning environment for children, families, and our staff. We will discuss each of these key points and the integral role they play in providing the highest quality care and education to young children. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), 2008, the effective leadership and management of early childhood program staff produces high-quality programs for young children.

Effective Communication
Respect and Honesty
Confidentiality
Weekly and monthly brainstorming meetings
Bi-annual reviews
Communication with staff is always respectful and honest. Meetings are always kept confidential and problems and issues are solved through collaborative efforts. Each week I meet with staff as a whole group to discuss lesson ideas, curriculum goals, voice concerns, share professional development opportunities, and highlight what is going well. I hold a monthly meeting with each individual staff member to discuss progress towards goals which have been set, discuss concerns, and share thoughts on the progress of the students. Our Bi-annual reviews foster growth and development and offer an opportunity to set goals and create an on-going plan for professional progress. To make a truly great center we need to work together as we grow and learn. “Effective leadership in early childhood programs is synonymous with effective communication because the success of the program relies heavily on the open, honest exchange of information, ideas, and feelings by staff. It is important to communicate in ways that show the director values the skills and contributions of staff” (Muñoz et al., 2015, p. 28). Our meetings and all communication are focused on working in collaboration with one another to establish high-quality, meaningful interactions.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

2. Capstone Original Contribution
Throughout the duration enrolled at the American College of Education (ACE) doing my master's program, I have developed my professional and personal strength to the instructional
approach. During the period of my studies, I pondered on ho I will maintain the excellent I need to learn effectively and to deliver effectively to individuals I lead. Learning becomes fun
and challenging at the same time, but it is rewarding because of learned strategies, personal and professional development. As I reflect on the different components throughout my
journey, I have learned how to develop effective learning outcomes program for my students and other training purpose.
Developing my original contribution, it is a compromise of various components, it is consisting of rationale, keynote in the presentation, and a summary outlining the reason the program
was developed. At the end of the training presentation, there is a question and answer section that will help educators to have an outcome of their views. It will also give the presenter
feedback to know if the training was effective and will know if the concepts were grasp based on the outcome of feedback.
Throughout my master's program, I realized there is a gap in the collaborative leadership framework. I began to observed different learning programs, the organizations, and realized
there is a way to close the gap. During the period, I began to have a conversation with different stakeholders, parents, guardians, educators, administrative staff, and others in the
community of learning. Doing my observation and assessment, I realized the gap in the organization and training needed in this area of how stakeholders can be effective to serve the
learning community. The training that is developed on a collaborative leadership framework will help stakeholders understand the importance of having a win-win situation through
working together in a culturally diverse community.
3. Capstone Original Contribution
For the program to be effectively developed, I meet with the different stakeholders, to address the effectiveness of the collaborative leadership framework. There were many challenges,
such as doubt to develop the training program to help reflect the change. As the discussions continue the stakeholders realized this process needs to adhere to create a better learning
institution. Throughout the process, we all assign different tasks from various stakeholders to help create and provide the right tools that are needed for educators and student's
development. The training was developed based on the gap and triggers that were identified through the assessment. It was also designed to help new teachers and even older educators
better understand the importance of a collaborative framework in a diverse culture. The stakeholders attended the training program, and the outcome was a success.
Throughout the original contribution presentation, the slides outline the importance of effectively collaborating in a professional environment that will improve the learning community.
The educators highly recommend the program continued with training and continue to develop a collaboration that will benefit the overall population. As the strategies that were
presented help learners to gain new ideas will build their personal and professional life. The learning community also feels a sense of connection and realized that we are each other
keeper. It will create a meaningful environment that caters to learning and will bring change in a diverse culture.
The training program was a success, and with effective collaboration as leaders, the team will continue to search for triggers that will affect our learning environment. Throughout this
process, we will continue to use this training program as a base outcome and make the necessary changes as required. Each training session will continue to improve the learning
outcomes-based. The team will create a website to upload materials that will help to develop the learning environment.
