2. CONCEPT
The Prepaid Food card will enable –
The students to use the card for Food & Snacks purchase with hassle free cashless
process, this also helps him to budget his spending.
The Catering teams will be able to centrally manage payments.
The institute can control the Mess spending's & most important in-depth analytics on
Raw material to end food can be drawn.
Overall the system enables effective management with data to analyze the entire
process.

3. KEY HIGHLIGHTS
1. Provision of handheld machines:
We can have portable canteen devices by which the caterers can book the order of
student, the machine will be activated with the canteen card & at the same time it will
also print a slip for manual record.
2. Exhaustive reporting:
There is complete set of exhaustive reports available which helps the vendor and
Institute to get the details of the expenses and item's consumes that can be worked out
monthly weekly or date wise.
3. Centralization of information:
Centralized complete canteen system of all the location and give the complete
information as well as summary at one location, this feature helps to maintain all
related activity and management of the same from any single location and provides the
critical information that may be useful in finalizing a vendor or can be used for internal
MIS.

5. Calculation of item wise subsidy and accounting of the same:
In future if the institute wants to re-structure subsidized food, item wise. The system is
capable of giving reports of the total items consumed, subsidy amount, Student share.

We can have restriction on usage of items by employees like lunch, dinner, breakfast
have once in a day if required
7. Provision for the guest card:
Guest card can be issued to every department by which the guest can have
the canteen items conveniently without having any challenge of the paying or the
employees seeking for reimbursement making it extremely smooth solution.

5. WORKING
Each Student shall be issued a card with a unique identified bar code which will be read
with the help of Bar code readers. Every time a student orders, their account shall be
updated with the amount and balance amount status updated.
At the time of paying order bill, student will present their card which will be read with
help of card reader. Based on the bar code, student’s full history of previous orders
with balance payments, if any, shall be displayed. The cash counter staff can update the
payment and adjust against the existing balance.

send SMS alerts to students with transaction confirmation and balance amount.
