Create Documents How to create documents by scanning & batch scanning? Tap button at the bottom of the Home Page, CamScanner will automatically turn on the camera and enter the document shooting page.  Hold and drag the white slider or tap & button to adjust the focal length  In single mode, slide from right to left to switch to the batch mode, and CamScanner will support the continuous shooting.  In batch mode, slide from left to right to switch to the single mode.  Tap button to choose the flash mode  Tap “Grid” button to open or close the grid  Tap button to shoot. How to create documents by choosing existing images?
CamScanner allows you to import existing document images stored in your album or cloud storage.  Tap button at the lower right corner of the Home Page  Tap “Album” to import a photo/photos from your phone album  Tap “Cloud Storage” to choose some images from “Box” or “Dropbox” Crop & Enhance How to crop an image? CamScanner provides you with a feature to detect the document border automatically and remove the unwanted parts. After shooting or choosing an image, it will automatically find the document border and display it on the screen.  If you are not satisfied with the auto recognized border, you can use your finger to adjust the 8 blue circles around by pressing and dragging them. And the enlarge image will be show at the corner of the screen to help you crop borders manually.
 Tap to rotate the image  Tap to back to the full screen and tap to reset the auto-detect edges If you are satisfied with the cropping, please tap to the next step. Otherwise, you can tap “Back” to back to the capturing or selecting page. How to enhance image quality? After cropping, CamScanner will automatically enhance the image quality basing on the type of the scanned document. If you are not satisfied with the auto enhanced image, you can manually enhance the image by choosing one of the five types of enhancement mode provided by CamScanner, which are original, lighten, Magic Color, B&M and Grayscale.  Tap the icon at the upper right corner to switch the enhancement modes  Original: If you do not want to enhance the image, “original” mode is recommended.  Lighten: If your scans are colorful and bright like a magazine, “lighten” mode may be suitable.  Magic Color: If you want to make the document more readable, "Magic Color" can help
a lot.  B&W: If your scans are black and white prints, “B&W” mode may be a good choice.  Grayscale: If you want to send the image as a small file to save your mobile data, “grayscale” mode may meet your needs.  Or tap each one to see the visual effects, and choose one you like most.  Tap to open the brightness & contrast adjustment page, and you can adjust the brightness, contrast and refine details manually.  Tap to rotate the image  Tap “Input page title” to add a page title Tap button to finish the processing Or button to back to the page of border adjustment and cropping Texts Recognition & Search How to recognize the texts in the image? CamScanner provides you to recognize the texts in the image, which is the OCR feature. Using this feature can help you quickly find documents, export, and share pictures of texts in the image.
 For unregistered users:  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page.  Tap “Recognize” at the bottom of the page, the image will be automatically recognized and the recognized texts will be highlighted in yellow.  After recognition, tap “View Texts” to view the recognized texts.  For registered users:  Sign in CamScanner with your account.  After signing in, all the texts in the images will be automatically recognized.  Enter the Edit page of a single page of a document and tap “Recognize” at the bottom of the page if you want to view the recognized texts. How to search the texts in the image? After recognition, CamScanner provides you to search the texts in the images.,
 On “My Docs” page, pull down to show a menu bar under.  Tap button on the menu bar and input some words in the texts of the image to quickly find the corresponding image.  Tap the found image and then tap the thumbnail, you can see the inputted words have been highlighted in yellow on the image Find a Document How to quickly find a document? CamScanner provides you three ways to quickly find a document: use tags, search titles/notes and search texts within the image.  Use your tags Tags have the same functions like keywords and can associate your documents with categories and locations. For example, if you want to find a train ticket and the Invoice Tag can help a lot. After scanning a document and saving it into your phone, you can set one or more tags to the document which helps you to quickly find it. Please refer to Manage and Set Tags for more details.
 Tap at the upper left corner of the Home Screen or slide from the left edge to right to open a sidebar  Tap “Tags” on the sidebar to enter the “Tags” Management page  Tap on a tag name to view the docments inside  Frequently managing your tags can effectively save your finding time.  Search among the titles/notes of the documents  Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”.  Tap button on the menu bar  Enter some words contained in your target document’s title or note, the document will be found out automatically.
 Search among the texts in the image recognized  If you do not remember or set a title or note for your targeted document, while this document image has been recognized.  Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”, and tap button on the menu bar.  Input some words contained in the texts of the image, and then CamScanner will quickly find the corresponding document.
Share How to email a single document to others? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page, tap “Email” at the bottom of the page to enter the “Email” page  File Link: You can share the file link via email.  Secure File Link: Enter a password, set an expiration date and send the encrypted file link. (*Premium Account Feature)  JPG File: Choose to share file in JPG file format.  PDF File: Choose to share file in PDF file format.  .txt File: Choose to share the texts in the images.(*Premium Account Feature)
How to email a single document to myself? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page, tap “More” at the lower right corner to enter the “Actions” page.
 Tap “Email to myself” to send the document to yourself via email.  The sender email address will be the default one on your phone, and you can set the recipient’s address manually.  File Link: You can send the file link via email.  Secure Doc Link: Enter a password, set an expiration date and send the encrypted file link. (*Premium Account Feature)  JPG File: Choose to send file in JPG file format.  PDF File: Choose to send file in PDF file format.  .txt File: Choose to send the texts in the images. (*Paid App Feature) How to email multiple documents to others? Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”. Tap on the right one to enter the multi-select mode.  Choose one or more documents by tapping on the left circle of them  Tap “More” at the lower right corner of the page to enter the “Actions” page, and then tap “Email” to share the document via email.  Doc Link: You can share the file link via email.  Secure Doc Link: Enter a password, set an expiration date and send the encrypted file link. (*Premium Account Feature)  JPG File: Choose the share file in JPG file format.  PDF File: Choose the share file in PDF file format.
How to share a document page? If you needn’t to share the entire document, but only one page inside, you can choose this way.  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page  Tap “More” at the right corner of the page to enter the “Actions” pageTap  Tap “Email” to send the image attached in JPG/PDF file format  Tap “SNS” to share it via Facebook, Twitter, etc.  Tap "Upload" to upload it to a third-party Cloud.  Tap “Open In” to share it via apps on your phone  Tap “To Album” to save the image to your album  Tap “AirPrint” to print it.  Tap “Fax” to fax it.
How to share the texts in a doc’s single page? (*Paid App Feature)  Tap “Share” at the upper right corner of the “Recognized Text” Page to share texts  You can choose to Copy to Clipboard, or share texts via Email, etc.
How to share the texts in a whole document? (*Premium Account Feature)  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap “More” at the lower right corner to enter the “Actions” page  Tap “Email to myself” and select “.txt file” to email the texts in the whole doc to myself Invite & Comment How to invite friends and share documents? CamScanner offers an invitation feature. You can invite friends to share your documents and read their comments.
 Tap the target document on “My Docs” page to open the doc  Tap “Invite” at the bottom of the page and open the “Collaborators” popup menu  Tap “Invite” button in the middle or button at the upper right corner of the popup menu to enter the “Add Friends” page  You can enter the email address or phone number of your friends  Tap “System Contacts & Recent Contacts” to invite friends from your phone contacts.  And the invited friends will be listed in the Contact List here. How to view and add comments to the documents you have shared with others? CamScanner offers an invitation feature. You can invite friends to share your documents and read their comments.

 Tap on the thumbnail to view the shared document  Tap on the “Email” button at the bottom of the page to send it in JPG/PDF file format  “AirPrint/Fax” is also available here. Edit a Document How to set or modify the title of a doc? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page to open the doc. Tap the doc’s title at the top of the page to open the “Rename” box. Enter the name of the doc and tap “OK” to save it. How to set or modify the title of a doc’s single page? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page of a single page.  Tap “Input page title” on the top of the page to set the title of the page.  Tap the existing title on the top of the page to modify it. How to add a page into a document? If you want to add a new page into the current document, you can use the "Add" or “Import” function.  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap “Add” to shoot or “Import” to choose an image.  After adding and processing, the new page will be added to this document
How to add annotations? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page. Tap “Mark” and choose “Ink Annotations”.  Tap “Pen” at the bottom of the page to set the pen’s properties.  Tap to switch the type of pen  Slide to vary the thickness of handwriting  Choose a color on the Color Palette  Tap “Eraser” to use the rubber  Tap on the to vary the size of rubber  Tap “Clear All” to clear all annotations  Tap “Undo” to undo the last annotation or tap “Redo” to cancel the undo  Tap “Save” at the upper right corner to save all annotations
How to add watermark? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page. Tap “Mark” and choose “Add Watermark”.  Tap “Enter Watermark Texts” to input some words  Press and drag to adjust the size and angle of the watermark  Press and drag the watermark to adjust the location of the watermark.  Choose a watermark color at the bottom of the page  Tap “Save” at the upper right corner of the page to save it
How to add a note? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page. Tap “Note” at the lower right corner of the page.
Input some words on the Note page and tap “Close” at the upper left corner to save your note. How to view a note? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page.  Tap button at the upper right corner of the thumbnail to view the note  Tap button back to the thumbnail Document Collage How to display multiple documents in a single page? If you want to insert multiple documents like different kinds of invoices and receipts into a single page, CamScanner provides you to create doc collage for multiple documents. Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap “More” at the lower right corner to enter the Actions page  Tap “Collage” on the Actions page to select a type for your doc collage  You can select a type for the collage according to the number and size of the docs you need
to display on a page Manage Documents How to secure your documents? CamScanner provides you a document encryption feature. Set a password to the selected document, and then anyone who wants to see your encrypt documents should input this passcode.
Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”. Tap on the right one to enter the multi-select mode.  Choose one or more encrypted documents by tapping on the left circle of them  Tap “Lock” button at the bottom of the page and open a “Set Passcode” popup menu  Enter a password for the selected documents How to add documents? CamScanner provides you two ways to scan documents, which are capturing a document and choosing an existing image in your album. Refer to Create Documents for more details How to merge documents? Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”. Tap on the right one to enter the multi-select mode.
 Choose one or more documents by tapping on the left circle of them  Tap “Merge” button at the bottom of the page and open a popup menu  You can choose to “Merge and Delete” or “Merge without Delete”. How to delete documents? Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”. Tap on the right one to enter the multi-select mode.
 Choose one or more documents by tapping on the left circle of them  Tap “Delete” button at the bottom of the page and open a “Delete” popup menu  Tap “OK” to delete the selected documents How to sort the documents? Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”.
 Tap on the middle button and open a “Choose Sort Method” popup menu  You can choose sort by “Modified Time” or “Creation Time”. How to sort the pages within a document? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page, press on the screen and pull down to open a menu bar. And then tap on the button to sort pages within a document.  Press and drag to sort the images up and down  Tap “Done” at the upper right corner to save it.
How to display pages by last page on top? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page, press on the screen and pull down to open a menu bar. And tap on the button to set the top page.  Choose “First on top” to display the pages by first page on top.  Choose “Last on top” to display the pages by last page on top. How to display the documents in list view/tiles view? Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”.
 In the list view, tap the left button to switch to the tiles view  In the tiles view, tap the left button to switch to the list view. Manage and Set Tags How to manage tags? Tap at the upper left corner of the Home Screen or slide from the left edge to right to open a sidebar.
 Tap “Tag” on the sidebar and enter the “Tag” page  Tap “Add new tag ” at the bottom of the page and enter a tag name, choose “OK” to add it  Tap “Edit” at the upper right corner, and you can edit the tags name or delete the tags How to set tags for a single document? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page.
 Tap “More” at the lower right corner of the page to enter the “Actions” page  Tap “Attribute” to enter the “Property” page.  Choose one or more tags for the selected documents  Tap “Back” to save the action How to set tags for multiple documents? Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”. Tap on the right one to enter the multi-select mode.

How to change your username?
Tap at the upper left corner of the Home Screen or slide from the left edge to right to open a sidebar.  Tap “Sign in/Register” on the sidebar to sign in  After signed in, tap your account name to enter the “Account” page  Tap “Username” to set or change your username Sync How to sync files?  Auto Sync: After logged in, the files will be automatically synchronized.  Manual Sync: You can also choose the manual sync way by pulling down on the documents list page to sync files anytime.  Log in on www.camscanner.net to synchronize the documents to your computer and organize them.
Tap “Settings” on the sidebar, choose “Sync Settings”.  You can see the last synced time.  And tap “Sync” button to open the Sync settings menu.  You can choose to turn on or turn off “Sync over mobile network”. You can also choose to upload the document to a third-party storage platform like “Box”, “Google Drive”, etc. How to auto upload docs to a third-party storage platform? Tap at the upper left corner of the Home Screen or slide from the left edge to right to open a sidebar  Tap “Settings” to enter the Settings page  Tap “Doc Export” to enter the Doc Export page  Tap “Auto Upload” to set a file format and a thirf-party storage platform for auto uploading  Tap “File Format” to select PDF file or JPG file for doc uploading  Tap the icon to select a third party storage platform like “Box”, “Dropbox”, “Evernote” or “Google Drive”.
How to print documents via Wi-Fi? CamScanner provides a cloud print service. And you can enjoy the wireless printing feature.  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page, and tap “More” at the lower right corner of the page to enter the “Actions” page.  Tap “AirPrint” to enter the “Printer Options” page.  Tap “Printer” to choose a printer.  Choose the number of copies  Tap “Range” to set the page range  Tap “Print” button to print How to fax documents? CamScanner provides you the fax service, and you can fax your document to more than 20 countries and regions.

What can you set for PDF? CamScanner provides you some PDF settings on the Property page, you can set the default options to meet your requirement.     Create Documents How tocreate documents by scanning & batch scanning? Tap button at the bottom of the Home Page, CamScanner will automatically turn on the camera and enter the document shooting page.  Hold and drag the white slider or tap & button to adjust the focal length  In single mode, slide from right to left to switch to the batch mode, and CamScanner will support the continuous shooting.  In batch mode, slide from left to right to switch to the single mode.  Tap button to choose the flash mode  Tap “Grid” button to open or close the grid  Tap button to shoot. How to create documents by choosing existing images?

    CamScanner allows youto import existing document images stored in your album or cloud storage.  Tap button at the lower right corner of the Home Page  Tap “Album” to import a photo/photos from your phone album  Tap “Cloud Storage” to choose some images from “Box” or “Dropbox” Crop & Enhance How to crop an image? CamScanner provides you with a feature to detect the document border automatically and remove the unwanted parts. After shooting or choosing an image, it will automatically find the document border and display it on the screen.  If you are not satisfied with the auto recognized border, you can use your finger to adjust the 8 blue circles around by pressing and dragging them. And the enlarge image will be show at the corner of the screen to help you crop borders manually.

     Tap torotate the image  Tap to back to the full screen and tap to reset the auto-detect edges If you are satisfied with the cropping, please tap to the next step. Otherwise, you can tap “Back” to back to the capturing or selecting page. How to enhance image quality? After cropping, CamScanner will automatically enhance the image quality basing on the type of the scanned document. If you are not satisfied with the auto enhanced image, you can manually enhance the image by choosing one of the five types of enhancement mode provided by CamScanner, which are original, lighten, Magic Color, B&M and Grayscale.  Tap the icon at the upper right corner to switch the enhancement modes  Original: If you do not want to enhance the image, “original” mode is recommended.  Lighten: If your scans are colorful and bright like a magazine, “lighten” mode may be suitable.  Magic Color: If you want to make the document more readable, "Magic Color" can help

    a lot.  B&W:If your scans are black and white prints, “B&W” mode may be a good choice.  Grayscale: If you want to send the image as a small file to save your mobile data, “grayscale” mode may meet your needs.  Or tap each one to see the visual effects, and choose one you like most.  Tap to open the brightness & contrast adjustment page, and you can adjust the brightness, contrast and refine details manually.  Tap to rotate the image  Tap “Input page title” to add a page title Tap button to finish the processing Or button to back to the page of border adjustment and cropping Texts Recognition & Search How to recognize the texts in the image? CamScanner provides you to recognize the texts in the image, which is the OCR feature. Using this feature can help you quickly find documents, export, and share pictures of texts in the image.

     For unregisteredusers:  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page.  Tap “Recognize” at the bottom of the page, the image will be automatically recognized and the recognized texts will be highlighted in yellow.  After recognition, tap “View Texts” to view the recognized texts.  For registered users:  Sign in CamScanner with your account.  After signing in, all the texts in the images will be automatically recognized.  Enter the Edit page of a single page of a document and tap “Recognize” at the bottom of the page if you want to view the recognized texts. How to search the texts in the image? After recognition, CamScanner provides you to search the texts in the images.,

     On “MyDocs” page, pull down to show a menu bar under.  Tap button on the menu bar and input some words in the texts of the image to quickly find the corresponding image.  Tap the found image and then tap the thumbnail, you can see the inputted words have been highlighted in yellow on the image Find a Document How to quickly find a document? CamScanner provides you three ways to quickly find a document: use tags, search titles/notes and search texts within the image.  Use your tags Tags have the same functions like keywords and can associate your documents with categories and locations. For example, if you want to find a train ticket and the Invoice Tag can help a lot. After scanning a document and saving it into your phone, you can set one or more tags to the document which helps you to quickly find it. Please refer to Manage and Set Tags for more details.

     Tap atthe upper left corner of the Home Screen or slide from the left edge to right to open a sidebar  Tap “Tags” on the sidebar to enter the “Tags” Management page  Tap on a tag name to view the docments inside  Frequently managing your tags can effectively save your finding time.  Search among the titles/notes of the documents  Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”.  Tap button on the menu bar  Enter some words contained in your target document’s title or note, the document will be found out automatically.

     Search amongthe texts in the image recognized  If you do not remember or set a title or note for your targeted document, while this document image has been recognized.  Press on the Home Screen and pull down to show a menu bar under “My Docs”, and tap button on the menu bar.  Input some words contained in the texts of the image, and then CamScanner will quickly find the corresponding document.

    Share How to emaila single document to others? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page, tap “Email” at the bottom of the page to enter the “Email” page  File Link: You can share the file link via email.  Secure File Link: Enter a password, set an expiration date and send the encrypted file link. Tap on the right one to enter the multi-select mode.  Choose one or more documents by tapping on the left circle of them  Tap “More” at the lower right corner of the page to enter the “Actions” page, and then tap “Email” to share the document via email.  Doc Link: You can share the file link via email.  Secure Doc Link: Enter a password, set an expiration date and send the encrypted file link. (*Premium Account Feature)  JPG File: Choose the share file in JPG file format.  PDF File: Choose the share file in PDF file format.

If you needn’t to share the entire document, but only one page inside, you can choose this way.  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page  Tap “More” at the right corner of the page to enter the “Actions” pageTap  Tap “Email” to send the image attached in JPG/PDF file format  Tap “SNS” to share it via Facebook, Twitter, etc.  Tap "Upload" to upload it to a third-party Cloud.  Tap “Open In” to share it via apps on your phone  Tap “To Album” to save the image to your album  Tap “AirPrint” to print it.  Tap “Fax” to fax it.

    How to sharethe texts in a doc’s single page? (*Paid App Feature)  Tap “Share” at the upper right corner of the “Recognized Text” Page to share texts  You can choose to Copy to Clipboard, or share texts via Email, etc.

(*Premium Account Feature)  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap “More” at the lower right corner to enter the “Actions” page  Tap “Email to myself” and select “.txt file” to email the texts in the whole doc to myself Invite & Comment How to invite friends and share documents? CamScanner offers an invitation feature. You can invite friends to share your documents and read their comments.

     Tap thetarget document on “My Docs” page to open the doc  Tap “Invite” at the bottom of the page and open the “Collaborators” popup menu  Tap “Invite” button in the middle or button at the upper right corner of the popup menu to enter the “Add Friends” page  You can enter the email address or phone number of your friends  Tap “System Contacts & Recent Contacts” to invite friends from your phone contacts.  And the invited friends will be listed in the Contact List here. How to view and add comments to the documents you have shared with others? CamScanner offers an invitation feature. You can invite friends to share your documents and read their comments.

Edit a Document How to set or modify the title of a doc? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page to open the doc. Tap the doc’s title at the top of the page to open the “Rename” box. Enter the name of the doc and tap “OK” to save it. How to set or modify the title of a doc’s single page? Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap the thumbnail to enter the Edit page of a single page.  Tap “Input page title” on the top of the page to set the title of the page.  Tap the existing title on the top of the page to modify it. How to add a page into a document? If you want to add a new page into the current document, you can use the "Add" or “Import” function.  Tap the target document on “My Docs” page and then tap “Add” to shoot or “Import” to choose an image.  After adding and processing, the new page will be added to this document

Tap “Mark” and choose “Ink Annotations”.  Tap “Pen” at the bottom of the page to set the pen’s properties.  Tap to switch the type of pen  Slide to vary the thickness of handwriting  Choose a color on the Color Palette  Tap “Eraser” to use the rubber  Tap on the to vary the size of rubber  Tap “Clear All” to clear all annotations  Tap “Undo” to undo the last annotation or tap “Redo” to cancel the undo  Tap “Save” at the upper right corner to save all annotations

Tap “Mark” and choose “Add Watermark”.  Tap “Enter Watermark Texts” to input some words  Press and drag to adjust the size and angle of the watermark  Press and drag the watermark to adjust the location of the watermark.  Choose a watermark color at the bottom of the page  Tap “Save” at the upper right corner of the page to save it
