1. The long shot is a shot that
contains the person’s entire
body in the frame as well as
being able to see the
environment they are in. In
long shots, more is visible. The
characters almost fill the frame
top-to-bottom, while at the
same time the scenery still
dominates the scene.

A typical medium shot is often
either framed from the knees
or waist up from the subject. It

them feel small.

the listener can see
something that the subject

in your shot. When you
want to have three people
