This event will launch CAMentrepreneurs in Sydney with a pilot event hosted by Richard Lucas Linkedin Founder CAMentrepreneurs who will be visiting Sydney from Europe.
About the event
Expand your network in Sydney by meeting Cambridge & Oxford alumni, students and others interested in entrepreneurship. There are more than 1500 Cambridge and Oxford Alumni in Sydney so there is every reason to think that we could have a thriving group if 2% or more are into entrepreneurship. Our inclusive network offers local connections and global reach for entrepreneurs as well as the opportunity to re-connect with the Cambridge eco-system
This first event will enable prospective members to discuss the kinds of events they would want to attend or organise in Sydney, and make plans for 2023.
Richard Lucas will share his insights on the potential of the network to create value not just in Sydney but also around the world.
The majority of CAMentrepreneurs never attended an Alumni event until they came to one of ours.
Our events have a strong focus on participant engagement - be prepared to meet new people and make new connections.
If you want to make a short community announcement or pitch a business idea please let us know.
If you are interested in helping making a Sydney group thrive, please fill in this form
so we can contact you before the launch. If you are very keen to come, please use the "get involved" form, or make contact with Richard Lucas directly. We will give priority to those who want to help run CAMentrepreneurs in Sydney.
We are targeted at:
Alumni of the University and Judge & Said Business Schools who are in business, want to invest in/start companies, make new connections, find clients, co-founders, team members.
Students who are interested in entrepreneurship, finding investors, co-founders, jobs, internships, freelancing opportunities. If you are a student with a business idea or strongly supportive of entrepreneurship we encourage you to apply to attend.
While CAMentrepreneurs is centred on Cambridge University connected people, we are open to co-operation with other people and organisations that are interested in supporting entrepreneurship. In particular we work closely with Oxford alumni with a similar mindset where-ever they are open to it.
About CAMentrepreneurs
The purpose of CAMentrepreneurs is to support business and social entrepreneurship among Cambridge University alumni, current students and others. CAMentrepreneurs is global. Since its launch CAMentrepreneurs has held 59 events in Cambridge, Dubai, Dallas. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Helsinki, Houston, London, New York, Oxford, Paris, Vancouver and Warsaw, as well as online events.
CAMentrepreneurs operates on a TED -> TEDx model, in that we only launch a group when there are people in the city concerned who want to take the lead in getting a group off the ground (and there is sufficient interest).
The group is officially recognised by Cambridge University Alumni Office
