Overview
• This Cable Catalyst project uses Oracle BSS/OSS Suite along with
solutions from Incognito and Cognizant.
• Uses Oracle Design-Time tool to integrate multiple vendors providing
digital TV, broadband and unique home applications in support of a TV
Everywhere service.
• Once designed, the TV Everywhere service is fulfilled which activates
the Incognito Broadband Command Centre and a Cognizant developed
Application Server.
• Uses an Oracle TMF Solution Certified BSS for order capture
• Illustrates decoupling of product, service, resource & network based on
Frameworx aligned architecture
Demonstrates how cable operators can rapidly launch and fulfill new
cable services

• Select equipment (make/model)
• Schedule appointment for install
• Generate multi-play order: include TV Everywhere
• Setup customer account in billing
• Update order with equipment serial numbers after install
• Initiate provisioning and activation for equipment & subscriber
• Activate billing when in-service
• Map customer to service area(s) / location(s)
• Identify headend resources (CAS, SDP, CPE mgr, etc)
• Map packages to equipment authorization tags (entitlements)

  • 2. © 2011 TeleManagement Forum | 2 www.tmforum.org v2011.1 Overview • This Cable Catalyst project uses Oracle BSS/OSS Suite along with solutions from Incognito and Cognizant. • Uses Oracle Design-Time tool to integrate multiple vendors providing digital TV, broadband and unique home applications in support of a TV Everywhere service. • Once designed, the TV Everywhere service is fulfilled which activates the Incognito Broadband Command Centre and a Cognizant developed Application Server. • Uses an Oracle TMF Solution Certified BSS for order capture • Illustrates decoupling of product, service, resource & network based on Frameworx aligned architecture Demonstrates how cable operators can rapidly launch and fulfill new cable services
