ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Systems/Link Corp. announced today
the introduction of Orion/Call Patterning Intelligence(TM), or OrionCPI(TM) at
CTIA's Wireless Security '98 conference. The product is currently in trial
with a major U.S. wireless carrier.

The trial carrier reports that OrionCPI, without fraud analyst
intervention, has identified significantly more fraud with a higher rate of
alarm confidence and fewer false positives than previous fraud control tools.
OrionCPI uses proprietary algorithms to identify and learn calling
patterns, or the "wireless DNA" of fraudulent users, allowing wireless
carriers to detect fraud regardless of the criminals' methods of obtaining
service.
OrionCPI is tightly integrated with Systems/Link's FraudTec 2000(TM)
profiler. It streamlines a carrier's fraud control process and reduces losses
by automating much of the complex analysis that is currently performed by
fraud analysts. High confidence fraud cases are identified, delivered for
confirmation and shut down after only a few calls.
Pattern confidence increases as carrier feedback tunes the parameters of
OrionCPI, increasing the product's effectiveness with its length of
deployment.
