between people.

• To perform the variety of other business functions.
• To connect companies with their employees.
• To make inquiry about customers.
4. Purposes
• To create a change in the reader.If there is no change in
the reader then it has failed.
• To change our opinion about a company.
• To create purchases.
• Educate ourself about products and pricing.
• Educate someone how to use a product.
• How to change a market value and its products before
people?
• Make the reader care or why sould i care?

7. Letter Heading
• Here the following information is highlighted:
The full name of firm
Address of sender
Reference No:
Date of drafting the letter
Telefone,Telex ,Fax and E-mail address of sender.
For example:
Nankana sahib, street no12,
cell no.03417223192,
Web:www.nnk.com,Ref.110Dx,
Date:15th, Jun, 2018.
8. Inside address
• The address of receiver is given here as would appear on
an envelop.It helps the outward clerk to write the same
address on the cover.
• For example:
Mr.Ehsan director of ISI Karachi
Street No.13
Block form
Here all the lines maintain same margin and no punctuation
is used at the end of any line.
9. Indented Form
• Here the subsequent lines start two spaces away from the
beginning of previous line.After each line there is comma
and full stop is put at the end of the last line.Example:
Ayub Research Institute,
40,Jhang Road,
Faislabad
Attention Line:
The person who can take the prompt action for the letter,his
name and department is stated here.Example:
Mr. Danish,Sales Manager
10. Subject Heading
• The main theme of the letter is highlighted here.
Example:Conformation of order of research.
Salutation
It is a complementary greetings with which the writer opens
his letter. It should written below the inside address.
Example:If unknown: Dear sir or Madam.
If name is known: Dear Mr.Hussain
If close friend: My dear Danish
If large people: Dear Member
11. Body
• It is the most important part which contains information to
be communicated .
Complementary Close
• It is a polite way of ending a letter.
Example:
Yours truly
Yours faithfully
Sincerely yours etc.
12. Sender's Name and Address
• Such identification is placed just after the signature.
Example:
Mr.Danish
Director of Textile Industry, Lhr.
Enclosure
Sometimes other papers such as price list, check ,bill etc
are enclosed with the letter.In such case, a mention should
be made of these enclosures in the letter.
Example:Bill of Exchange
13. Carbon copy
• Some times copies of a letter have to be sent to some
people other than the address also.In such cases the
names of those persons should be mentioned.
Example:
Mr.Hassan
General Manager CTD.
Mr. Danish
CEO Textile Industry.
14. Postscripts
PS is something written after the letter is closed.it indicates that
the writer had forgotten to include something important in the
body of the letter. It is a bad practice to write a PS.
