Majority of Pakistanis are Muslim and Friday is the holy day. Ramadan workdays are shortened to six hours. Urdu is the main language though Punjabi, Siraiki, and others are also spoken. Handshakes and greetings ask after health and family, with responses thanking God. Meetings require advance scheduling and are formal, avoiding jeans. Proper etiquette includes eye contact, early arrival to meals, and waiting for elders to start eating before beginning a meal oneself. When giving gifts, bring flowers or chocolates to a hostess's home and give gifts with two hands.
