Low Carb Diets Don’t Work Low carb diets have been popular for some time now and to be honest I don’t know why. When anybody asks how to reduce weight quickly the automatic response seems to be the low carb diet. I don’t know about you but I find that as soon as I drop carbs I feel tired, hungry and sometimes irritable! I must not be alone in this as this method has proven to be too restricting and too difficult to follow for normal people who have to run errands and hold down jobs and look after children etc. Considering the difficulty of following this diet plan for the average person, it appears to me that if you start with this method to lose fat then you’re pretty much doomed to fail before you’ve even started
Low Fat Diets Simply Don’t Work Now this may seem a tad controversial for me to say as this has been the conventional wisdom on how to lose weight for the past 30 years. Whenever somebody asks for a diet plan to lose weight, the low fat method is never far away. The way I look at this is that the low fat diet approach to losing weight quickly has been around for years and years now, yet people in general have been getting fatter and fatter. If low fat was the way to go to losing weight fast then surely we’d all be slim by now!
Low Calorie Diets are a Waste of Time Again this may seem like a controversial point but please bare with me on this. The human body is very good at adapting to things and this is no different when we are talking about weight loss. Basically weight loss is somewhat dictated by your metasbolism, when calories are altered, the metabolism attempts to adapt to that change. For example if you eat on average 2000 calories a day, you’re body will adapt to you consuming 2000 calories a day. Now, the same happens when you reduce that number, so if you only eat 1000 calories a day your metabolism will simply adapt to you only eating 1000 calories a day and no weight loss will happen. So I’m not all that crazy for saying low calorie isn’t the way to go for fast fat loss…well hopefully not!
Confuse your Body This point leads on from the last tip. Remember what I said about the metabolism adapting to calorie consumption. Well the way to get around this adaptation is to not eat the same amount of calories day in and day out, pretty simple right? If you eat a different amount of calories every day then the body doesn’t have chance to adapt the metabolism and you can keep reducing weight quickly without your body having chance to stop you! This is a major point as I have found that many people who are looking to lose weight fast often get stuck in a rut doing the same old things day and day out, then wonder why they don’t get the results they are looking for, keep changing things up and keep losing fat!
Hormones are Very Important This is a very important tip. When looking to lose weight quickly and naturally, hormones are very important. It is hormones which help regulate metabolism. They also regulate how much fat is released and burnt as fuel, which is good and how much fat is stored, which is bad. If you can control these hormones then you’ll be on the fast lane to reduce weight quickly! Food is extremely important in regulating these hormones as often it is food which stimulates the suppression or release of these important chemicals. Eat the right foods at the right times and you’ll be certain to lose weight in seven days.
