2. Bully Prevention Goals
 Safe and Orderly Working and Learning Environments:
 Students, staff and parents regard Pine Tree ISD as a safe and quality environment
in which to learn and work.
 Community Engagement:
 Pine Tree ISD is regarded as the responsive authority in the education of students
by parents and other PTISD community stakeholders.

3. Bullying Defined by
Pine Tree ISD: FFI (LOCAL)
Bullying occurs when a student or group of students engages in written or
verbal expression or physical conduct that:
 Will have the effect of physically harming a student, damaging a student’s
property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of harm to the student’s
person or of damage to their property; or
 Is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that the action or threat
creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment of
a student.

4. Student Protection from Bullying
Pine Tree ISD Board Policy FFI(LOCAL) establishes guidelines for reporting
bullying.
1. Once the campus principal or designee has received notification that a
student may have experienced bullying they will conduct an investigation
as outlined in policy FFI(LOCAL).
2. There is a “Bullying Incident Report Sheet” they will complete to ensure
the proper guidelines have been followed by the District.

5. Student Protection from Bullying
Reports of bullying shall be made as soon as possible after the alleged act or
knowledge of the alleged act. Any student who believes that he or she has
experienced bullying should immediately report the alleged acts to a
teacher, counselor, principal, District employee, or parent/guardian.
If the report of bullying is made to someone other than the campus principal
or designee that person should report it to them immediately.

6. Bullying Can Be Banned by Working as a Team
Bullying is an important issue across the nation and Pine Tree ISD
is not immune to this problem.
Both campus and district administrators seek to work together
with parents as a united team to provide a safe and orderly
learning environment that encourages community involvement
and engagement. The efforts are most effective with a
partnership of parents and school staff working together toward
a common goal of banning bullying from our daily lives.
