Bullying In High School-Personal Narrative
When I was younger, my mom would say to me, "If you do good things. the world will reward you. If you hurt someone, the world will punish you."
As the years have gone by, I have come to believe even more. When I was in 5th grade, I was bullied. This one girl picked on me every single day. She
told me I was fat even though I was really skinny. She called me ugly. She told me I shouldn't be friends with my best friends because they were
taller, richer and prettier than me. She said that I couldn't dance because I was cuban. She told me I was stupid and that I should be in special ed. I
held it in for half of fifth grade. One day, I bawled for two and a half hours. I was home with my dad who was working in his office and when my mom
got home

How To Write A Narrative About High School
St.peter's girls High School, a school where love, tolerance, acceptance, and peace was taught and practiced. The place where I developed strong
relationships with 5 girls all 6 of us were from different backgrounds; Hispanic, Italian, Trinidadian, Asian, and my self, Jamaican and Cuban.
We were all on the cheerleading team and enjoyed the moments that we were able to hang out with each other.
It was a cold, Thursday morning when Brenda, my Latina friend adopted by a Caucasian family, came in to class and excitedly informed us that her
mom gave permission for all 5 of us girls to spend the weekend at her house. We were all filled with excitement, especially me, I was the captain of
the cheerleading team and we were preparing for completion so we viewed this as the perfect opportunity to come up with a few routines that would
knock the judges socks off.
Friday morning we all showed up to school with our backpacks and duffle bags eagerly awaiting the weekend to finally start. 2:30 pm the last bell rang
we rushed out of class to the bus stop, which was a little odd since we were use to...show more content...
As the moon began to claim its victory we paced back and forth, occasionally sticking our heads out to look for the awaited bus, THEN it happened
the moment that screamed to us RACISM is real. "FREAKING NIGGERS" exclaimed one of the Caucasians from their car as they slowed down
to ensure that we could see the hatred and disgust in their eyes. Initially, our childish minds allowed us to laugh, but as we made our individual
assessment fear crept over us as we realized we were In a predominantly white area on the very racist STaten Island. The same area where reports of
abuse and murder of colored people was talked

The moving boxes are piled high around me; towers and towers of endless memories. The house felt so empty. It reminded me of when we had
first moved in three years before. Today was the last day of fifth grade, and it started like any other. My mom was running around the house, my
brother was tying his shoes, and I stood ready to walk out the door. The bus arrived normally as well, and I sat in the same seat as I had been for
the past year. The day was completely normal, and yet, nothing was the same. After today, nothing would ever be the same again. The entire day
was a blur of tears and goodbyes. The last five minutes of the elementary school seemed to tick by slower and slower, second by second. The clock
seemed to be taunting me, saying, "Enjoy it while you can Taylor, because you won't have it for much longer." The way I felt when the final bell
rang is indescribable. My heart felt like it was being ripped to shreds right in front of my eyes and I couldn't do anything to stop it. It felt as if I
was drowning and everyone I loved was standing three feet away screaming, "Learn how to swim!" I walked out of the school with tears streaming
down my face and my life crashing down around me. No one understood, they said they knew how I felt, but how could they? They don't know my
life. I guess I should be good at this, I've been moving around my whole life. My dad is in the Coast Guard, so we never stay somewhere more than
three years. So far, I have lived in California,

Essay about High School Graduation Day
High School Graduation Day
Many people have experienced the over whelming excitement that you feel as you approach high school graduation day, and for me, that's a day
that I will never forget. The amount of emotions that you feel on graduation day is unbelievable, and I have yet to experience anything else like it. I
can remember feeling anxious to celebrate the big day with my friends and family, while at the same time I was panicking thinking about having to
walk across the stage in front of that many people. Then, the more I thought about the reality of graduation day, I started to get curious, but nervous,
about being able to start a new chapter in my life once graduation day had passed. There are several reasons why I, still...show more content...
As the end of the night approached us, I couldn't stop thinking about how many mixed emotions I had about starting a whole new chapter in my
life. I couldn't wait to go to college, meet all new people, get a degree so that I could start my career path, but I knew that meant I had to say goodbye
to my two best friends, who were moving several hours away from me. This was one of the hardest things I had ever had to do in my life. We all cried
a little, and then made promises to keep in touch, and then we were off into the real world! I was very happy to be at this point in my life, but I was
scared deep down inside.
When I look back on this day now, I still remember every detail as if it was yesterday. I was so proud, and happy to be able to celebrate such an
amazing day with all of my friends and family. I know I will never forget how embarrassed I was walking across the stage in front of all of those
people, feeling famous after taking so many pictures, making our final memories together at our graduation parties, and then being a nervous wreck
when it was time to go out into the world without my best friends at my side. High school graduation day was a very emotional day for me, but it was
by far the most exciting day I have ever experienced in my

Going To High School Narrative Essay
Going to high school was somewhat of a culture shock. New people, styles, cliques, and even some new language. I went from having a well
established reputation at Forest Park Middle School to being a nobody at the high school. I didn't play sports, I wasn't in band, I didn't act in plays, I
didn't belong anywhere. I decided to roll with the same group of six people for the entire year. Life was dull. I was still overweight, couldn't talk to
girls, and immensely unoccupied. During my freshman year, I had entirely too much free time. I went to school, went home, and did my homework. I
had no extra–curriculars, my life was devoid of purpose. I had no idea what I was meant to do with my life. I had some vague ideas of goals, but no

I had a lot of trouble with Algebra II and even failed my midterm. Shame had washed over me and I felt dizzy. I'd gotten home that day and my dad
had already found out from my mom. Tears had welled in my eyes and before I could utter an "I'm sorry" over the knot in my throat, my dad turned
his head away from me in disgust. I cried like a baby, mortification had seized me. My dad later apologized, but through great effort, I brought my
grade back up to an A. My parents and I celebrated by going out to eat, it was a small meal, yet felt like a feast. The food tasted all the sweeter
because I'd known I earned it. This year also involved some tragedy that still effects me to this day. My grandmother had began her downward
slope in the fall of my freshman year. It is scarring seeing the woman who loved me slowly decay. Even at this time, two years after she died, it still
brings tears to my eyes. My grandmother had broken her leg and was in the hospital. She proceeded to stay in the hospital for 6 months, making little
to no progress at some points. In some aspects, she had simply given up, but her suffering was far from over. The next problem to develop was after

My life flipped for the better once I left the 8th grade, it was finally summer time and I was ready for it. But deep down I knew once summer was
over high school here I come. I won't even lie, I was terrified to start as a freshman in high school. All of the rumors that I heard with baby freshman
day, and all the stuff they do to freshmens on the first day of school. To be honest I was really nervous, instead of a couple butterflies in my stomach I
had the whole family flying around. But once the first day of high school came up all those rumors that everyone was telling me was actually a lie.
High school wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. As my freshman year went on a lot of doors opened up for me, there were sports, clubs,
new people to me, everything you could possible think of. I didn't really get into sports as much as all of my friends, I was more into video games
and playing outside in the woods just adventuring finding old vintage things and old buildings and all of the beautiful views. My freshman year
wasn't really too special, I was too busy figuring out what everything was and where everything was located at. Then my sophomore year came
along this is where I started to get the foundation of high school and blend in. everything kinda went downhill I made good grades don't get wrong,
it's just I never showed up which I regret miserably. Once I got to my junior year everything is still constantly changing, a lot more people know of
me. I was never

I chose this quote because it sums up a lesson I learned in high school. When I moved from Connecticut to Ohio after my freshman year, I had
trouble transitioning to a new school and state. I struggled in school for the first time in my life. My grades were not what I had hoped or expected
them to be during my first quarter sophomore year, and it was not easy for me to get over that. I worked harder than ever to get the grades I wanted,
and my hard work paid off. The rest of my sophomore year was much better than the first quarter, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome of
some of my classes. I continued to work hard during my junior year, and throughout that year, my grades were consistent with my hopes. They were

At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward reading and writing; more so towards reading.
Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very
basic posts on facebook expressing one's opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it's the
severe senioritis that has overcome me as I enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I've gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in my
everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into the action unless it relates to something I am very...show

You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the same person that I was. I guess you could say it's
part of growing up. It never really was intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing are very
different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write
because I believe it is one of the most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and professionally.
To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have
to, not because I want to. Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am assigned a writing
assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar.
The perfect example of this would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the majority of the class
simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to
write in such high volume every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the

One foot on the curb, mailbox ajar, I rifled through the stack to find it. All of the other mail glided aimlessly to the grass as I held the envelope
tightly. Quickly, I tore open the stark white envelope; my eyes scanned the document quickly. "Was this their nice way of rejecting me, mom?" my
voice cracked as I spoke into my cell phone. "Yes, I am afraid it is," my mom replied, apologetically. That was it.... My moment of truth. My
application essays, grades, elementary school clubs and accomplishments were collectively not strong enough to earn myself a seat in the Middle Years
Program at Plaza Elementary. My elementary career up to that point consisted of life among the best and brightest at Old Donation Center for the

He told me to use the box to store things that I held dear to me. The lock was so that I did not have any family members viewing the contents
without my permission. I decided to save that letter in my special box. I did not know exactly why I was saving it at the time, but I do now. I
needed that "no." I needed the sting of that "no" so that I could learn to fully appreciate all of the "yeses" that would eventually follow. That March
afternoon at my mailbox brought me to the realization that life was not going to be a series of acceptances. I felt down, for sure, but not out. That
rejection forced me to push myself further and harder to reach my goals. In the years that followed, I have had the pleasure of adding many "yeses" to
my box, but that first major "no" taught me to appreciate and understand the times when I am not accepted or included. Every once in a while, I pull
out my handmade box and rifle through my memories. I always reread that letter with gratitude, because although it seemed like the end of my
twelve–year–old life at the time, it was nothing short of a crucial lesson. I credit that experience as a reminder that roadblocks and rejection are just
reasons to catapult my determination and resolve to a higher

Personal Narrative : My First Day Of High School
"Jenny come on! It's our first day of high school!" I yelled as Jenny and I walked to school "I'm coming, Maddie, calm down. Why are you so
excited?" Jenny asked. "We are getting closer to collage, I can't wait." Jenny rolled her eyes as we walked into our first day of high school. I
stepped into the huge crowd of people all trying to find their way around the huge school. "Ok Jenny, I'll meet you right back here for 5th period.
We have that together right?" "Yep, but I don't know anyone else in our class. I asked a bunch of people and they don't have room 313 on their
schedule." said Jenny. "That's weird, whatever, see you soon bye!" All of my classes were pretty lame and boring. I am in a math class that was
grade above me so, I had no one from my freshman class to talk to. Period four ended and I was super excited to meet Jenny for our first detective
class. "Maddie! Over here!" Jenny yelled with excitement down the hall. "Do you know where to go? I don't see the classroom on my map." I
asked. "I asked my teacher, it's in the basement. Let's go." Said Jenny. As we made our way down the stairs the air became heavier and there was a
weird stink that became stronger as we got closer to the basement. It was almost like we entered a whole different world. "Um, Jenny," I asked,
"Why isn't any other student down here, and do you smell that? Nasty." I cringed. "Over There, by the door with the smoke coming out of it..." We
got closer to the door. Jenny was shaking as she placed her hand of the door knob. Jenny slowly opened the door. We stepped into completely
empty classroom. We looked at each other in confusion. Before any of us could say anything there was bright flash and we both fell to our knees.
I rubbed my eyes trying to awaking myself. I looked around and the room that was once empty was now filled with desks and pencils just like a normal
classroom looks. I looked over to Jenny. "Jenny? Where are you? Hello? Is anyone here?!" I exclaimed "Oh my gosh Maddie! I can't see! Where are
you?" I heard Jenny screaming. Just as Jenny finished the lights

Considering I only spent one week at Middletown South for freshman year, I am going to talk more about high school North. After transferring as
a freshman, I was still the very quiet student who had big goals. During this beginning year I did not focus much on friends. I was more focused on
sucking up to my teachers to get myself in a good spot for the rest of the year. It is safe to say I did being I got high B's and mostly A's. This was also
the year I tried out for the Winter swim team. I am very happy to say I scored the varsity title freshman year. From there on out, I had to carry myself
right. Sophomore year was like a repeat of freshman year which is funny to me. I still barely had friends, I swam varsity, and alongside all my A's,

Entering High School Narrative Essay
As my 8th grade year in Willis Junior High began to come to a close, the pressure of high school arose earlier than I expected. Transitions weren't
something I was unfamiliar with, but losing all strong connections with great friends and amazing teachers scared me severely. I knew that after
middle school, my closest friends and I would be separated. With busy schedules, contact was uncertain and limited. For the first time, I felt what real
anxiety of entering a new area of my life was like. I thought of nothing but everyone's expectations of me, and how I might fail without the support of
my friends. Unfortunately, I concluded right away that I did not look forward to entering high school. The change in my emotions during this time was

Junior High Narrative
Junior HIgh In every kids life they get to do one thing in school and that is go to junior high. Coming from a small elementary school to a big kid
school can take a while to get used to. Metting the teachers were some of the scariest times about starting junior high. Transferring from
elementary to junior high was a big change for me and my classmates. Many of the things that scared us was having lockers, trying to find the
rught class rooms and meeting new and bigger people. The only students that we knew were the kids a grade ahead of us and they all pitched in to
help us find everything we needed. Having a new principal was also a different experience. Meeting Mr. Davis for the first time everyone was a
little scared since we didnt know anything about him and that he was a little loud. But we would later realized that he would be one of our best
friends. Having new teachers was a little difficult to get used, and it also takes a a few days to remember their names. We were scared to go up to
them and ask for help ever since our elementary teachers said that they will not help you and that they expect you to know it. The good thing was we

My High school Graduation Day Like many students, I waited for the day of my high school graduation ever since I started high school. I waited
for that day to come with patient. I also wanted to see my parent's excitement, and the proud moments they have waited for. I didn't believe that
graduation will be very emotional. The emotional moments started when I put my cap and gown on. Then the memories started to come, first
thing that came to my mind was how did I survive school with my ADD. I have always struggled with school due to my ADD. I was passing my
classes with average grades even though I was doing my best, and working hard on my assignments. At the same time, I was feeling nervous
thinking about walking down to the stage and receiving my diploma. The more I was thinking about my big day, the more overwhelming I became
as I was going to start a whole new step in life. I was very proud of myself on that day. I was very pleased that I celebrated that day with my family and
friends, I was proud of myself because I challenged myself to pass high School, and made my family proud. Then, as I walked to the stage to receive
my diploma, my heart was beating fast, and my face was turning red. When the principal called out my name, I walked with pride, shook his hand,
and got my diploma. During these moments, I heard a loud cheering from family and friends. Then I walked down the stairs, and held my diploma
high toward the side my family were sitting, and their cheering got louder, and I became happier. After I went back to my seat, I was looking at my
diploma and started thinking how I successfully folded one chapter in my life, and how to start opening a whole new one by going to college. At that
time, I was thinking about how excited college could be, meeting new people, more mature, their thinking will be different. I also thought college
will be my new path way to real life. Moreover, I looked around at my friends as the ceremony was getting close to the end. I was getting emotional
as I had to say good bye to most of my friends, it was very hard for me to think about not seeing some of them again because they were planning to
move and attend out of state college. The ceremony ended with throwing

Summer 2016
Life is like a road you know where it's, other times you don't.This reminds me of my summer going into freshman year. For the last weeks of middle
school there has been a lot of talk about high school and even ed tech. I concluded the year with good grades little did I know I had an active couple
months ahead. starting high school wasn't the only new transition to make.
It was the last months of 8th grade and every incoming freshman was preparing themselves for high school. I'm not complaining, I finished the year
with new friends. On the other hand I didn't see what the big deal was because high school is the same thing just more privileges. Cell Phones, gum and

For one week in july, Myself and others had to endure drumline camp. Anyone that is close to me knows that I am a super anxious person. There
were a ton of things I was overthinking about. obviously I never had any sort of experience with anything marching band related. In the august
swelter, which felt like a thousand degrees, we had SMB camp my cymbals were hot flying saucers. That week, I thought was miserable and I
seriously thought about quitting. Looking back now That was such a senseless idea because some of the highlights of my vacation happend at camp.
By the time school rolled around the freshman were getting the hang of things and our halftime shows got better and better. As if my first year of
drumline wasn't new enough I decided to join golf. I jumped into the deep end of the pool.
Earlier I said I had an active break, but during my free time I decided to join the golf team. The only golf experience i've ever had was putt–putt. Surely
enough I got some old, tired clubs and started hitting the driving range. I liked golfing because the team was limited with a whopping 10 girls.
Practices were real chill you'd just go out and play 4 holes after school it was kinda relaxing. I liked the noise your club makes when you hit the tee,
that clink! Again I thought next year I wasn't gonna do golf but i'm starting to

It's the end, high school is finally over. It's finally graduation day, and a wave of emotion hit, and I've never been hit with a wave quite this hard,
not even at the beach. I'm not the type to get sad, but as I walk around in my long draping gown, my cap the doesn't quite fit because of my
abnormally large head, and my state championship ring I can't help but be overwhelmed with emotion. Being the guy that I am I ignore it as
always and I continue going around to teachers and give them hugs, thanking them for the help they've given me. Watching everyone take pictures,
crying, talking about their futures, and how "they'll have to meet up sometime" as if they're moving to another country when they are just really
moving to the next town over. I swore the day before, the week before, even months before I would be sad, and wouldn't know what to do with
myself when today actually comes, but I can't seem to find the emotions. All of them are on the inside and won't come out. On the inside I feel sad,
and upset and I want to just hug everyone and cry, but I can't. I don't have time to think about crying, because of all the chaos going on around me.
We only got one practice in ahead of time, just about nobody actually listened to what we are supposed to be doing, so everyone's doing their own
thing. I walk through the halls and realize this is my final last. I've had my last soccer game, I've attended my last football game and cheered them
onto another loss, and now in

"STAND BY!" I yell the first words of the morning as the lights flick on and bodies fly out of bed. It's 0630 in the North West side, upstairs
barracks of building 835 at Camp San Luis Obispo, and I'm waking up 14 of the best people I'll ever meet. There's frantic shuffling, and immediate
silence after everyone's out of bed, feet flush with the corner of the bedpost staring straight ahead, not moving an inch. "You've got 5 minutes to get
ready for PT. MOVE!" The stillness is broken and the chaos continues as everyone rushes to grab their toiletries. I was in their place exactly a year
ago, and now it's my turn to give back to the Cadet Training Group. I'm not anything special here, only a teacher for the next generation in a 40 year

I say, "hello, Claire right?" She says, "Yes!" We sit together, exchange social media usernames, and numbers. Later, I go to 6th period, my science

Bullying In High School-Personal Narrative

  • 1. Bullying In High School-Personal Narrative When I was younger, my mom would say to me, "If you do good things. the world will reward you. If you hurt someone, the world will punish you." As the years have gone by, I have come to believe even more. When I was in 5th grade, I was bullied. This one girl picked on me every single day. She told me I was fat even though I was really skinny. She called me ugly. She told me I shouldn't be friends with my best friends because they were taller, richer and prettier than me. She said that I couldn't dance because I was cuban. She told me I was stupid and that I should be in special ed. I held it in for half of fifth grade. One day, I bawled for two and a half hours. I was home with my dad who was working in his office and when my mom got home Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. How To Write A Narrative About High School St.peter's girls High School, a school where love, tolerance, acceptance, and peace was taught and practiced. The place where I developed strong relationships with 5 girls all 6 of us were from different backgrounds; Hispanic, Italian, Trinidadian, Asian, and my self, Jamaican and Cuban. We were all on the cheerleading team and enjoyed the moments that we were able to hang out with each other. It was a cold, Thursday morning when Brenda, my Latina friend adopted by a Caucasian family, came in to class and excitedly informed us that her mom gave permission for all 5 of us girls to spend the weekend at her house. We were all filled with excitement, especially me, I was the captain of the cheerleading team and we were preparing for completion so we viewed this as the perfect opportunity to come up with a few routines that would knock the judges socks off. Friday morning we all showed up to school with our backpacks and duffle bags eagerly awaiting the weekend to finally start. 2:30 pm the last bell rang we rushed out of class to the bus stop, which was a little odd since we were use to...show more content... As the moon began to claim its victory we paced back and forth, occasionally sticking our heads out to look for the awaited bus, THEN it happened the moment that screamed to us RACISM is real. "FREAKING NIGGERS" exclaimed one of the Caucasians from their car as they slowed down to ensure that we could see the hatred and disgust in their eyes. Initially, our childish minds allowed us to laugh, but as we made our individual assessment fear crept over us as we realized we were In a predominantly white area on the very racist STaten Island. • 3. The moving boxes are piled high around me; towers and towers of endless memories. The house felt so empty. It reminded me of when we had first moved in three years before. Today was the last day of fifth grade, and it started like any other. My mom was running around the house, my brother was tying his shoes, and I stood ready to walk out the door. The bus arrived normally as well, and I sat in the same seat as I had been for the past year. The day was completely normal, and yet, nothing was the same. After today, nothing would ever be the same again. The entire day was a blur of tears and goodbyes. The last five minutes of the elementary school seemed to tick by slower and slower, second by second. The clock seemed to be taunting me, saying, "Enjoy it while you can Taylor, because you won't have it for much longer." The way I felt when the final bell rang is indescribable. My heart felt like it was being ripped to shreds right in front of my eyes and I couldn't do anything to stop it. It felt as if I was drowning and everyone I loved was standing three feet away screaming, "Learn how to swim!" I walked out of the school with tears streaming down my face and my life crashing down around me. No one understood, they said they knew how I felt, but how could they? They don't know my life. I guess I should be good at this, I've been moving around my whole life. My dad is in the Coast Guard, so we never stay somewhere more than three years. So far, I have lived in California, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay about High School Graduation Day High School Graduation Day Many people have experienced the over whelming excitement that you feel as you approach high school graduation day, and for me, that's a day that I will never forget. The amount of emotions that you feel on graduation day is unbelievable, and I have yet to experience anything else like it. I can remember feeling anxious to celebrate the big day with my friends and family, while at the same time I was panicking thinking about having to walk across the stage in front of that many people. Then, the more I thought about the reality of graduation day, I started to get curious, but nervous, about being able to start a new chapter in my life once graduation day had passed. There are several reasons why I, still...show more content... As the end of the night approached us, I couldn't stop thinking about how many mixed emotions I had about starting a whole new chapter in my life. I couldn't wait to go to college, meet all new people, get a degree so that I could start my career path, but I knew that meant I had to say goodbye to my two best friends, who were moving several hours away from me. This was one of the hardest things I had ever had to do in my life. We all cried a little, and then made promises to keep in touch, and then we were off into the real world! I was very happy to be at this point in my life, but I was scared deep down inside. When I look back on this day now, I still remember every detail as if it was yesterday. I was so proud, and happy to be able to celebrate such an amazing day with all of my friends and family. I know I will never forget how embarrassed I was walking across the stage in front of all of those people, feeling famous after taking so many pictures, making our final memories together at our graduation parties, and then being a nervous wreck when it was time to go out into the world without my best friends at my side. High school graduation day was a very emotional day for me, but it was by far the most exciting day I have ever experienced in my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Going To High School Narrative Essay Going to high school was somewhat of a culture shock. New people, styles, cliques, and even some new language. I went from having a well established reputation at Forest Park Middle School to being a nobody at the high school. I didn't play sports, I wasn't in band, I didn't act in plays, I didn't belong anywhere. I decided to roll with the same group of six people for the entire year. Life was dull. I was still overweight, couldn't talk to girls, and immensely unoccupied. During my freshman year, I had entirely too much free time. I went to school, went home, and did my homework. I had no extra–curriculars, my life was devoid of purpose. I had no idea what I was meant to do with my life. I had some vague ideas of goals, but no ...show more content... I had a lot of trouble with Algebra II and even failed my midterm. Shame had washed over me and I felt dizzy. I'd gotten home that day and my dad had already found out from my mom. Tears had welled in my eyes and before I could utter an "I'm sorry" over the knot in my throat, my dad turned his head away from me in disgust. I cried like a baby, mortification had seized me. My dad later apologized, but through great effort, I brought my grade back up to an A. My parents and I celebrated by going out to eat, it was a small meal, yet felt like a feast. The food tasted all the sweeter because I'd known I earned it. This year also involved some tragedy that still effects me to this day. My grandmother had began her downward slope in the fall of my freshman year. It is scarring seeing the woman who loved me slowly decay. Even at this time, two years after she died, it still brings tears to my eyes. My grandmother had broken her leg and was in the hospital. She proceeded to stay in the hospital for 6 months, making little to no progress at some points. In some aspects, she had simply given up, but her suffering was far from over. The next problem to develop was after her departure of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My life flipped for the better once I left the 8th grade, it was finally summer time and I was ready for it. But deep down I knew once summer was over high school here I come. I won't even lie, I was terrified to start as a freshman in high school. All of the rumors that I heard with baby freshman day, and all the stuff they do to freshmens on the first day of school. To be honest I was really nervous, instead of a couple butterflies in my stomach I had the whole family flying around. But once the first day of high school came up all those rumors that everyone was telling me was actually a lie. High school wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. As my freshman year went on a lot of doors opened up for me, there were sports, clubs, new people to me, everything you could possible think of. I didn't really get into sports as much as all of my friends, I was more into video games and playing outside in the woods just adventuring finding old vintage things and old buildings and all of the beautiful views. My freshman year wasn't really too special, I was too busy figuring out what everything was and where everything was located at. Then my sophomore year came along this is where I started to get the foundation of high school and blend in. everything kinda went downhill I made good grades don't get wrong, it's just I never showed up which I regret miserably. Once I got to my junior year everything is still constantly changing, a lot more people know of me. I was never Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. I chose this quote because it sums up a lesson I learned in high school. When I moved from Connecticut to Ohio after my freshman year, I had trouble transitioning to a new school and state. I struggled in school for the first time in my life. My grades were not what I had hoped or expected them to be during my first quarter sophomore year, and it was not easy for me to get over that. I worked harder than ever to get the grades I wanted, and my hard work paid off. The rest of my sophomore year was much better than the first quarter, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome of some of my classes. I continued to work hard during my junior year, and throughout that year, my grades were consistent with my hopes. They were the grades I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Literacy Narrative Essay example At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very basic posts on facebook expressing one's opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it's the severe senioritis that has overcome me as I enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I've gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in my everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into the action unless it relates to something I am very...show more content... You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the same person that I was. I guess you could say it's part of growing up. It never really was intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to. Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Example Of Personal Narrative High School One foot on the curb, mailbox ajar, I rifled through the stack to find it. All of the other mail glided aimlessly to the grass as I held the envelope tightly. Quickly, I tore open the stark white envelope; my eyes scanned the document quickly. "Was this their nice way of rejecting me, mom?" my voice cracked as I spoke into my cell phone. "Yes, I am afraid it is," my mom replied, apologetically. That was it.... My moment of truth. My application essays, grades, elementary school clubs and accomplishments were collectively not strong enough to earn myself a seat in the Middle Years Program at Plaza Elementary. My elementary career up to that point consisted of life among the best and brightest at Old Donation Center for the Gifted. In...show more content... He told me to use the box to store things that I held dear to me. The lock was so that I did not have any family members viewing the contents without my permission. I decided to save that letter in my special box. I did not know exactly why I was saving it at the time, but I do now. I needed that "no." I needed the sting of that "no" so that I could learn to fully appreciate all of the "yeses" that would eventually follow. That March afternoon at my mailbox brought me to the realization that life was not going to be a series of acceptances. I felt down, for sure, but not out. That rejection forced me to push myself further and harder to reach my goals. In the years that followed, I have had the pleasure of adding many "yeses" to my box, but that first major "no" taught me to appreciate and understand the times when I am not accepted or included. Every once in a while, I pull out my handmade box and rifle through my memories. I always reread that letter with gratitude, because although it seemed like the end of my twelve–year–old life at the time, it was nothing short of a crucial lesson. I credit that experience as a reminder that roadblocks and rejection are just reasons to catapult my determination and resolve to a higher Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Personal Narrative : My First Day Of High School "Jenny come on! It's our first day of high school!" I yelled as Jenny and I walked to school "I'm coming, Maddie, calm down. Why are you so excited?" Jenny asked. "We are getting closer to collage, I can't wait." Jenny rolled her eyes as we walked into our first day of high school. I stepped into the huge crowd of people all trying to find their way around the huge school. "Ok Jenny, I'll meet you right back here for 5th period. We have that together right?" "Yep, but I don't know anyone else in our class. I asked a bunch of people and they don't have room 313 on their schedule." said Jenny. "That's weird, whatever, see you soon bye!" All of my classes were pretty lame and boring. I am in a math class that was grade above me so, I had no one from my freshman class to talk to. Period four ended and I was super excited to meet Jenny for our first detective class. "Maddie! Over here!" Jenny yelled with excitement down the hall. "Do you know where to go? I don't see the classroom on my map." I asked. "I asked my teacher, it's in the basement. Let's go." Said Jenny. As we made our way down the stairs the air became heavier and there was a weird stink that became stronger as we got closer to the basement. It was almost like we entered a whole different world. "Um, Jenny," I asked, "Why isn't any other student down here, and do you smell that? Nasty." I cringed. "Over There, by the door with the smoke coming out of it..." We got closer to the door. Jenny was shaking as she placed her hand of the door knob. Jenny slowly opened the door. We stepped into completely empty classroom. We looked at each other in confusion. Before any of us could say anything there was bright flash and we both fell to our knees. I rubbed my eyes trying to awaking myself. I looked around and the room that was once empty was now filled with desks and pencils just like a normal classroom looks. I looked over to Jenny. "Jenny? Where are you? Hello? Is anyone here?!" I exclaimed "Oh my gosh Maddie! I can't see! Where are you?" I heard Jenny screaming. Just as Jenny finished the lights Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Personal Narrative: High School Home Considering I only spent one week at Middletown South for freshman year, I am going to talk more about high school North. After transferring as a freshman, I was still the very quiet student who had big goals. During this beginning year I did not focus much on friends. I was more focused on sucking up to my teachers to get myself in a good spot for the rest of the year. It is safe to say I did being I got high B's and mostly A's. This was also the year I tried out for the Winter swim team. I am very happy to say I scored the varsity title freshman year. From there on out, I had to carry myself right. Sophomore year was like a repeat of freshman year which is funny to me. I still barely had friends, I swam varsity, and alongside all my A's, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Entering High School Narrative Essay As my 8th grade year in Willis Junior High began to come to a close, the pressure of high school arose earlier than I expected. Transitions weren't something I was unfamiliar with, but losing all strong connections with great friends and amazing teachers scared me severely. I knew that after middle school, my closest friends and I would be separated. With busy schedules, contact was uncertain and limited. For the first time, I felt what real anxiety of entering a new area of my life was like. I thought of nothing but everyone's expectations of me, and how I might fail without the support of my friends. Unfortunately, I concluded right away that I did not look forward to entering high school. The change in my emotions during this time was important Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Junior High Narrative Junior HIgh In every kids life they get to do one thing in school and that is go to junior high. Coming from a small elementary school to a big kid school can take a while to get used to. Metting the teachers were some of the scariest times about starting junior high. Transferring from elementary to junior high was a big change for me and my classmates. Many of the things that scared us was having lockers, trying to find the rught class rooms and meeting new and bigger people. The only students that we knew were the kids a grade ahead of us and they all pitched in to help us find everything we needed. Having a new principal was also a different experience. Meeting Mr. Davis for the first time everyone was a little scared since we didnt know anything about him and that he was a little loud. But we would later realized that he would be one of our best friends. Having new teachers was a little difficult to get used, and it also takes a a few days to remember their names. We were scared to go up to them and ask for help ever since our elementary teachers said that they will not help you and that they expect you to know it. The good thing was we had one...show more content... During my sixth grade year after Basketball practice me and my friends came into school and I found what I thought was a few dollars. • 14. My High school Graduation Day Like many students, I waited for the day of my high school graduation ever since I started high school. I waited for that day to come with patient. I also wanted to see my parent's excitement, and the proud moments they have waited for. I didn't believe that graduation will be very emotional. The emotional moments started when I put my cap and gown on. Then the memories started to come, first thing that came to my mind was how did I survive school with my ADD. I have always struggled with school due to my ADD. I was passing my classes with average grades even though I was doing my best, and working hard on my assignments. At the same time, I was feeling nervous thinking about walking down to the stage and receiving my diploma. The more I was thinking about my big day, the more overwhelming I became as I was going to start a whole new step in life. I was very proud of myself on that day. I was very pleased that I celebrated that day with my family and friends, I was proud of myself because I challenged myself to pass high School, and made my family proud. Then, as I walked to the stage to receive my diploma, my heart was beating fast, and my face was turning red. When the principal called out my name, I walked with pride, shook his hand, and got my diploma. During these moments, I heard a loud cheering from family and friends. Then I walked down the stairs, and held my diploma high toward the side my family were sitting, and their cheering got louder, and I became happier. After I went back to my seat, I was looking at my diploma and started thinking how I successfully folded one chapter in my life, and how to start opening a whole new one by going to college. At that time, I was thinking about how excited college could be, meeting new people, more mature, their thinking will be different. I also thought college will be my new path way to real life. Moreover, I looked around at my friends as the ceremony was getting close to the end. I was getting emotional as I had to say good bye to most of my friends, it was very hard for me to think about not seeing some of them again because they were planning to move and attend out of state college. The ceremony ended with throwing Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Personal Narrative Essay On High School Summer 2016 Life is like a road you know where it's, other times you don't.This reminds me of my summer going into freshman year. For the last weeks of middle school there has been a lot of talk about high school and even ed tech. I concluded the year with good grades little did I know I had an active couple months ahead. starting high school wasn't the only new transition to make. It was the last months of 8th grade and every incoming freshman was preparing themselves for high school. I'm not complaining, I finished the year with new friends. On the other hand I didn't see what the big deal was because high school is the same thing just more privileges. Cell Phones, gum and food really. In other words the year ended smoothly. It was super...show more content... For one week in july, Myself and others had to endure drumline camp. Anyone that is close to me knows that I am a super anxious person. There were a ton of things I was overthinking about. obviously I never had any sort of experience with anything marching band related. In the august swelter, which felt like a thousand degrees, we had SMB camp my cymbals were hot flying saucers. That week, I thought was miserable and I seriously thought about quitting. Looking back now That was such a senseless idea because some of the highlights of my vacation happend at camp. By the time school rolled around the freshman were getting the hang of things and our halftime shows got better and better. As if my first year of drumline wasn't new enough I decided to join golf. I jumped into the deep end of the pool. Earlier I said I had an active break, but during my free time I decided to join the golf team. The only golf experience i've ever had was putt–putt. Surely enough I got some old, tired clubs and started hitting the driving range. I liked golfing because the team was limited with a whopping 10 girls. Practices were real chill you'd just go out and play 4 holes after school it was kinda relaxing. I liked the noise your club makes when you hit the tee, that clink! Again I thought next year I wasn't gonna do golf but i'm starting to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. It's the end, high school is finally over. It's finally graduation day, and a wave of emotion hit, and I've never been hit with a wave quite this hard, not even at the beach. I'm not the type to get sad, but as I walk around in my long draping gown, my cap the doesn't quite fit because of my abnormally large head, and my state championship ring I can't help but be overwhelmed with emotion. Being the guy that I am I ignore it as always and I continue going around to teachers and give them hugs, thanking them for the help they've given me. Watching everyone take pictures, crying, talking about their futures, and how "they'll have to meet up sometime" as if they're moving to another country when they are just really moving to the next town over. I swore the day before, the week before, even months before I would be sad, and wouldn't know what to do with myself when today actually comes, but I can't seem to find the emotions. All of them are on the inside and won't come out. On the inside I feel sad, and upset and I want to just hug everyone and cry, but I can't. I don't have time to think about crying, because of all the chaos going on around me. We only got one practice in ahead of time, just about nobody actually listened to what we are supposed to be doing, so everyone's doing their own thing. I walk through the halls and realize this is my final last. I've had my last soccer game, I've attended my last football game and cheered them onto another loss, and now in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Example Of Narrative Writing High School "STAND BY!" I yell the first words of the morning as the lights flick on and bodies fly out of bed. It's 0630 in the North West side, upstairs barracks of building 835 at Camp San Luis Obispo, and I'm waking up 14 of the best people I'll ever meet. There's frantic shuffling, and immediate silence after everyone's out of bed, feet flush with the corner of the bedpost staring straight ahead, not moving an inch. "You've got 5 minutes to get ready for PT. MOVE!" The stillness is broken and the chaos continues as everyone rushes to grab their toiletries. I was in their place exactly a year ago, and now it's my turn to give back to the Cadet Training Group. I'm not anything special here, only a teacher for the next generation in a 40 year tradition. • 19. Narrative Essay Examples Narrative Essay I step my foot into public school for the first time ever my freshman year, not knowing a single person other than my brother. Prior to my freshman year, I was homeschooled. The school feels really big at the time and it's very overwhelming. As I walk around I see people hugging, reuniting, and saying, "oh my gosh I have missed you!" All I am worrying about is what people are thinking of me like, does she have any friends, or she looks like a loner. I am getting nervous and more nervous every second that passes. I decide I need to go straight to my classroom, but I have no idea where to go. I finally make my way to my classroom, then I sit down, and the bell rings. "The day is just beginning," I think to myself....show more content... I am halfway through the day. After this long day it's still not over yet, I am just half way through the day going into 5th period. As I walked in I see a girl I already met and I wanted to run and give her a hug, I was so excited to see someone I already knew. I didn't have to worry where I was going to sit that period, or who I was going to talk to. I probably looked like the happiest person in the world with a big smile on my face. As I am smiling as I say, "hello, Claire right?" She says, "Yes!" We sit together, exchange social media usernames, and numbers. Later, I go to 6th period, my science class. When we come in the teacher says to talk with people to sit in alphabetical order. I am placed next to a kid named Dominic Thomas, and his buddy is sitting on the other side of me. They were acting like I didn't exist, and getting in my personal space. Later, the teacher says, "The person sitting at your table will be your lab partner." That's when I found out Dominic Thomas will be my lab partner for the quarter. I did not know what was coming for me. Finally, 7th period here I come. Now this class was one crazy class, with some crazy people, but it was all good because I get to leave after this period. The bell rings and I am out of there. Leaving school I am feeling many emotions, I am happy to leave, excited to tell my mom about all I experienced that day, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
