[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],Parents can help protect against involvement in bully/victim problems by communicating love and warmth, use non-physical punishment, monitor their children, and set age appropriate limits
[object Object],[object Object],My a-ha moment happened when I read that kids that were involved in bullying were more susceptible to future problems with violence and delinquency! It makes sense if a child feels like they can’t defend themselves they might  cause violence to others later in life to prove that they are strong and can defend themselves

In conclusion bullying is a serious problem. Just last week I know the radio station 100.9 shut off their music after 6pm for bullying. They had parents call in who’s children were being bullied, they wanted to make people aware of this problem. I personally know my sister is being bullied she is in 6 th  grade and it is indirect bullying, but bullying! She comes home crying and I ask her if the teachers do anything about it and she said no! Teachers need to intervene anytime they feel bullying is occurring whether it be direct or indirect! Many school have a no bullying rule, but kids will find ways around it and the long term emotional effects should be reason enough for us as future educators to intervene and help stop bullying!
