Selma Fehrić has extensive education and work experience in teaching English. She completed primary and secondary school with high GPAs and earned an English language degree. Since 2008, she has worked as an English tutor, teacher, and translator. She has also volunteered teaching English to adults. Fehrić regularly attends workshops and seminars to improve her teaching skills and stays up to date on best practices. She is certified as a permanent court interpreter in English and enjoys continuing to learn new things in her work.

May 27, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: This letter is to certify that Ms. Buket Tanju was employed as a Fulbright Language Teaching Associate, teaching Turkish at Arizona State University as follows: • Fall Semester 2014 Elementary I Turkish (Semester 1) & Intermediate Turkish (Semester 3) • Spring Semester 2015 Elementary I Turkish (Semester 1) & Elementary II Turkish (Semester 2) Students who studied with Ms. Tanju in 2014 and 2015 were assessed by an external tester with the following result: • 80% of students achieved Intermediate Low on the ACTFL scale (http://www.actfl.org/sites/default/files/pdfs/public/ACTFLProficiencyGuidelines2012_FINAL.pdf). 20% achieved Novice High. The goal for Ms. Tanju’s courses was that 100% would achieve Novice High and at least 50% would achieve Intermediate Low. Ms. Tanju’s students easily exceeded the course goal and left the course with higher-than-expected proficiency. This is a testimony to Ms. Tanju’s success as a language teacher. In view of this success, Arizona State University has offered Ms. Tanju a position as online assistant instructor in its summer 2015 accelerated Turkish courses. She will be working with ASU summer students from June 3 to July 14.
