This document discusses building an editable, versioned linked open data (LOD) service for library data. It describes lobid.org, an experimental LOD service for library organizations and resources. It notes challenges with keeping legacy library data in LOD up-to-date. The vision is to create a service that allows producing, editing, and versioning RDF data, supports reusing external LOD datasets, and pushes changes in real-time. Fresnel is proposed as a way to control how RDF properties are displayed. The goal is a cooperative cataloging infrastructure to aggregate library descriptions.
