This document outlines key concepts from a session on building successful teams presented by Dr. Ashraf M. Diaa. It defines an organization as having outputs that lead to outcomes and impacts. Successful organizational teams are built on four pillars: communication, coordination, culture, and change. Effective teams have both team players, who execute processes, and team leaders, who create processes and develop the team. Building a successful team requires considering individuals' qualities and social styles, and guiding the team through the forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning stages of its lifecycle.
