The Lafayette Library held a special program at the Lafayette Community Garden for children about bugs. The children made clay bugs and went on a bug hunt, finding snails and worms. They also planted potatoes. Ladybugs were introduced to the garden to eat aphids damaging a cabbage plant. The children were encouraged to take some friendly bugs home. The program concluded with an invitation to return for a composting demonstration on April 20th.
